I don't really understand the purpose of the tier system in general, because there are good groups in many different tiers and the tiers change from competition to competition relative to the largest schools going. It's not a good representation of the "best" groups or anything.
It's a set rubric from school to school.
School A (school enrollment for grades 9 - 12)
A 1101 or more
B 751 - 1100
C 750 or less
School B
A 1601 or more
B 1100 - 1600
C 1099 or less
Twinsburg (with a projected enrollment of 1065 students) fits in Class A at Comp A and Class B at Comp B. It's an outdated way of mixing up a competition.

Random question, but why is Twinsburg considered to be in Tier III on the event page or are the Tiers random? In all their previous competitions this season they've been either Tier I or Tier II; including last week at Medina they were in Tier II with Marysville. It just seems like they fit better with the Tier II groups at this competition?
