I am personally upset most by this fact.

There was an error at some point that caused this... there is no reason to penalize Waconia "The Current" for this. If they come out and have an amazing performance they won't be rewarded for it.

That is my feeling on it, but none the less, congrats to Jefferson Jive!

I'm totally in agreeance on this issue, but, as Tucker said, the same thing happened in 2008 and Jive was not allowed to compete in finals. I'd be just as mad if Current were able to compete this year and I was unable to compete in 2008. I guess you just have to stick to the rules. But if they are just going to do an exhibition performance and not be scored, then I don't really see the reason for them to perform at all. Let them eat and rest, and get ready to cheer on Power Company. Also would let PC rest up a bit more before their appearance but i guess that's just my opinion. Seems like a lot of hassle for little reason.

AND Current won't be scored in the top 6. That's all I got for now.

Scoring errors are just so sad. Yeah, it makes one group extremely happy. But it also makes another group extremely upset. Honestly, in my opinion, they should allow both prep groups to COMPETE and not just have Waconia do exhibition. Oh well.

If they are in exhibition, my predictions:

Predictions:

GC. Waconia (BC)
1RU. Bemidji (BV)
2RU. Bloomington Jefferson
3RU. Bloomington Kennedy
4RU. Bloomington Jefferson Prep
5RU. North St. Paul.

This might be a stupid question then. But basically, Current is performing again in exhibition? I just wanna make sure I, and everyone else, understands this correctly.

Thank you Tucker for keeping everyone on track!

Correct, as the error was announced as Current was lining up on the side of the stage. I'm doing my best to double and triple check information before it's posted.

Well, Silver Connection didn't make it all the way. Some of us made a good effort...

My thoughts of what I saw:

Waconia was so WOW! They might have gone over time, but it didn't matter. Excellent. Especially to the brunette who's always in the front. My hat's off to you, girl.

The soloist in "Georgia on My Mind" from Bloomington Jefferson was SO GOOD. Serious talent. She had my vote for best soloist.

I really liked Bemidji's show concept. It was pretty original and very well done.

The Kennedy Swingers were a pretty good prep group. I enjoyed your Vossography.

Yes, Mr. Ethan. Jive won. Which is funny (though not really) because in the 2008 mix-up, they were involved in the scoring situation as well, but they got kicked out of finals instead of being added in like this year.

Wont let me edit me earlier predictions. (And I'm even using Firefox.. hmm)

yah firefox hasn't been letting me edit stuff in events. i can edit stuff in other non-event forums but not on ones like these. it's weird.

Correction, Jefferson Jive is the winner of class A. There was a scoring error, much like what happened in 2008 with the prep division. Connection will be performing as scheduled, but Jive will be added to the finals schedule.

3RU. Bloomington Kennedy
4RU. Bloomington Jefferson Prep
5RU. Waconia Prep

Honestly, I think top 4 could go many different ways and bottom 3 could go many different ways. Should be interesting to see how things pan out.

Wait, so Waconia Prep won best band out of everyone?

I saw Current at Milton, and I'm not surprised. Their band was rockin!!! And from what I saw at Linn-Mar, Bemidji's band is gonna really pump it up in finals.

So wait... Jive is the real prep winner, not Current?

Wait, so Waconia Prep won best band out of everyone?

Correct. But there is a scoring error that involves that group, so don't be surprised if it changes. They are an amazing combo regardless.

Great job every group that I saw (Chi-hi through Bemidji)

Chi Hi, such an improvement from classic its a lot cleaner and vocals are getting better every time I see yall!

RIG- Umm the alice and wonderland opener was a bit odd, but I still enjoyed it. The whole show was pretty clean (I didn't get to hear who choreographed you all, but it looked like jarad's work). The 2nd number was great.... The ballad. holy cow I loved it! Vocals were powerful you all had great tone and control of all the parts, your shining moment of that show in my opinion. (testify my love). The MJ medley was interesting ( Black or White, The Way You Make Me Feel and I Want you Back) the choreo was pretty clean in this song, umm it was just weird hearing those songs put together, looked good though! Like a prayer was fantastic, you had some great vocal moments in the closer, the choreo could be cleaner! Overall the show was great, it got progressively better through the show, vocals/diction got better through the end as well.

There was a girl in Jeff. Jive who was eating a pickle like snooki in front us, she kept us entertained throughout the breaks before she moved, just had to add that in.

St Paul, ya'll have gotten a ton better since the last time I saw you (two years ago?) Kevin Chase did wonders with you guys ( His groups were the cleanest of the day by far)... We were disappointed of how the guitar solo in the opener didn't work out (couldn't hear it), umm the second number transition was bad (people fixing hair and itching their faces) Soloist in ( we are free?) was great. Ballad soloists were great (stand up for love). You had some diction problems in the closer, but it was still a very fun and entertaining one!

Jefferson: Love the costumes, the blue and yellow look great on stage! The opener (use somebody) was fantastic, randy gave you some great choreo. The whole show was extremely clean as well as the chase groups. Your vocals were amazing. The soloists was great too. The second number had great moments, (back in town) and i loved the symbol crashes on some of your hits. The ballad georgia on my mind (?) was amazing, the vocals were top notch, and holy cow that soloist, A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. the audience was loving every minute of that ballad. The huge note at the end from this little girl was so unexpected, gorgeous song. The band overpowered the choir in the 4th number. The guys had a better number than the girls, they had a fun dance break and had some great vocal moments. The closer was great as well, they did (shoulder shoulder head just like double dream hands... hilarious) in their dance break, costumes were very cool. Overall great show.

Waconia: You and Bemidji probably had the most/loudest fans there cheering yall on! So surprised by you guys, the vocals were insane, consistently loud throughout the show, I didn't see a slip up at all. The opener I'm a star/on my way= AWESOME! Loved it, the soloist was amazing and held her own against the choir, the choreo was the cleanest of any group. A huge improvement in choral sound as well, you could hear each part and it all blended together beautifully. The dance break was great, amazing vocal moments in the acapella sections too. 2nd number had a lot of great things going on, character voices, vocals were superb, choreo was clean and fun, a kick line, and lots of yellow! The ballad I Believe, so great, the soloist was beautiful the choir has amazing voice control and tone throughout the entire show and it just shines in the ballad. great ending note, can't get over how much I liked it. I liked the costume changes bronze suits and really sparkly gold dresses. The guys and girls numbers were great, the choreo was really fun and very clean. lots of hair flips and sharp moves. Killed it with Fame. The closer was alright for me, nothing really popped for me. The pink dresses reminded me of Grand River Singers (either last year or a couple years ago). vocals were insane as usual. Amazing job, I think you are the top choir at eau claire, its between ya'll bemidji and jefferson for sure!

Bemidji: very sparkly blue dresses and your moms are probably the most hilarious people ever, those gloves were great and they all kept dancing to the music. The crowd loved you guys from start to finish. The final countdown was great, you could easily tell its an april group, the intricate hands and awesome ripples. The show wasn't the cleanest but cleaner than other groups. Vocals were great as well throughout the entire show, the second number I don't remember that much except that you had cool choreo and the end of it was sweet. The ballad soloists were fantastic, gorgeous vocals the tone was great, the audience was dead quiet during your ballad, the tenors were probably my favorite part of the choir in the ballad. Diction was great, and the acapella moments were a little iffy but still really good. I don't like choreo in ballads but you made it work, the NUMBER 1 part was extremely loud from the guys and very creative, I remember saying "Vocals HOLY S**T " the ending chord was great. the guy and girl numbers were great as well, the guys had very clean choreo and good vocal power, the girls, i liked the soloist flirting with the saxophone player and he kind of did too, which is great to see a band member getting into it. The closer was great the costumes were fun, the rip of bottom of the dress into shorts was creative and the guys black shirt underneath their jackets going to pink was very cool too. The dance break was a very april dance break, clean, crisp, extremely fun. Not the cleanest of the group but they could step it up in finals and take the gc.

I think the top three for sure are Waconia, Bemidji and Jefferson. (In that order too, in my opinion)
