Ok folks this is how it see it going here on the ground (I’ve sat in the center of the fourth row for every show today)

Los Al
FC
Burroughs
Petal/MtZion/CG
Petal/MtZion/CG
Petal/MtZion/CG
I’d also say best band could go to either Los Al or FC, best Choreo to Los al or Burroughs, and best vocals would be a toss up between the top three honestly. Just my opinion though, it was an HONOR to share the stage with these groups today and I’ve never been happier at a comp in my entire life.

But good luck to all!

Congratulations to all performing groups. Not a boring moment all day.

I saw a Snapchat story of FC, and their ballad made them sound like a professional Disney chorus or something...WOW

I know the focus is on Tier I, but shoutout to Voyager "Bull City Lights" in the Open Division. They performed All That Matters Now from Finding Neverland as their ballad. They had signs for Stoneman Douglas, Virginia Tech, and others. There's a short clip on the HOA twitter, but I bet it was such a tender moment actually in that room. Especially today with the March for our Lives rallies. It's pretty cool when show choir performs music that connects so much with what you're feeling. cc: Mt. Zion's ballad.

That must’ve been a really moving performance! My choir (which had the exact same ballad this year) sang that song in front of our student body on March 14th (the day where students across America walked out of school in protest) because of the message behind it and how much it pertained to the cause.

Any idea on time they'll announce Finalists? Assuming they'll need to break for dinner, Finals may not start until 7?

Livestream hosts are awesome! Love that you are interviewing kids and providing commentary and insight into what judges are looking for, how the competitions work, etc.
Wondering when results are posted?

Awards and finalist announcements were originally supposed to be 4:15 pm. They're like an hour and a half behind at this point with groups still left to perform... so maybe 5:30 pm? 5:45 pm? No one really knows, but we'll all find out together.

The live feed will be covering awards, though! And we'll update showchoir.com as quickly as we can.

They were great. There's a chat on the live feed, so that's where most of the conversation is happening. They had a minor issue with their backdrop, but otherwise it was well performed. Most of the conversation was folks excited to (hopefully) see their show again in finals and for them to take it up a notch.
