What's going on with Lincoln SW? In my experience they're an amazing choir and I know they've done really well everywhere these past few years. Admittedly, I know less about Nebraska show choir, but still.

They didn't do as well as normal at Midwest Cup but their show is still decent. I went to their concert a few days before the competition and the last few songs lack the same energy as the first few in my opinion and the ballad isn't a killer ballad like normal. We'll see how this competition goes though.

But, they have revamped a lot of their show, including their ballad....

Did they really??? My wife is a teacher there and didn't tell me or hear anything, that's exciting to hear. Hopefully it works out for the best.

YAAALLLLLL watch out for both Broken Arrow groups!! They have some of the best energy I've seen in a very long time and their vocals are STELLAR.

Here's my partially biased prediction of placements...

GC- Resonance (Sweep)
1RU- Norris
2RU- Iowa City West
3RU- Papio
4RU- Gretna
5RU- Marion

Honestly, from previous years results Tiger Rhythm will probably land somewhere in the top 4 but I know nothing about them (other than they have a sweet group picture) so did not include them.

Oooh, this is my first ever prediction!!!! I wonder if I'll get it right?!?

Iowa City West GC (BV/BC)
Gold 1RU (BB?)
GISH 2RU
Free Spirit 3RU (BB?)
Resonance 4RU (BB?)
Revolution 5RU

BB will be a toss up?

GC - IC West (sweep)
1RU - Grand Island
2RU - Lincoln Southwest or Broken Arrow
3RU - Papillion
4RU - Gretna

Brett, is there anything additional to qualifying for finals such as 1 prep, 1 womens, no prep, etc.. Or is it just the 6 top scoring groups?

... from our Director Handbook:

"ONE performing ensemble PER SCHOOL is eligible for finals."
