One of our choirs at UNL last year did Carmina Burana. It is a LONG piece, but it is really beautiful. I've been wanting a show choir to do Carmina Burana for years now and so I'm really excited to see what North Central did with it. Of course, it's going to be vocally great, but there is the huge challenge of adding movement to this piece, and incorporating it into a show.
Greece Athena did it in 2003, with very interesting staging and movement.

As for what happened in earlier pages of this topic...... I am REALLY REALLY disappointed in the lack of maturity coming from members of the SCC Community. It is one thing to get into a fight on these forums about choirs and all the stuff we normally discuss in these forums, but you all brought up something that did not need to be discussed in the main forums. It should have been kept to a private message, or an e-mail, or a phone call, or instant message. Why include all of us in your own personal issues? Please don't next time.

I'm aware about Carmina Burana - i was just trying to reference something that people would recognize more readily.

It's one of those songs where the DVD really does give an accurate presentation of the show. So . . . no worries.
I do recall reading somewhere that NC does "O Fortuna" at one point in time during their set. When I think of 300 and any other major combat scenes in movies this song definitely comes to mind.
