Hey ya'll I just wanted to say the Show Cards feel bad for coming off however we may have. Any posts made were out of frustration and confusion. We pride ourselves on being a classy organization and hope that the misundertandings of last week don't carry over to the week. Though upset we all cheered for Garfield and feel happy for them. Problems like this are the reason you don't see very many posts from us on here. But good luck to all and I hope everyone undertands that we were really just confused if anything.
ok its crunch time, 3 of the 6 finalists from grove city are competing and i know all 3 want this one bad. so best of luck to everyone. i have a feeling this competition is going to have the most competitive atmosphere out of any competition i've ever been to. and that lone reason makes me even more excited for the comp
ok guys i just wanted to apologize for the post made by footballfan101 it was not right for him to take away the meaning of gh grand champ trophy and lebs 1st runner up. That said dont count colerain out of lebs comp we are coming strong then we ever have see ya there

here you go..........March 1, Grove City, OH — Rarely have our heroes performed as they did on this day. They were absolutely fabulous, finishing the preliminaries in first place and sweeping the award ceremony—Best Vocals Class A, Best Vocals Overall, Best Band Class A, Best Band Overall, Best Choreography Class A, Grand Champion Class A. It was a good day to be a Show Card. Akeem Campbell was recognized as Best Performer, with Elysse Vadnais and Brandon Abernathy earning honorable mention. Other directors, choir members, and guests were congratulating the group on their stellar effort.
Can anyone explain what happened next? By all accounts, the finals performance was even better than the daytime show. The night wore on, but the biggest shock was yet to come. When the results were announced, the baffled emcee even paused for a moment and looked questioningly at the judges, saying, “I want to make sure this is right.” Receiving an affirmative nod, she continued, “In third place—Colerain.”
SAY WHAT? Just a few hours earlier, the judges had proclaimed the Show Cards the best group there. The group had outscored everyone and was hauling home a large pile of hardware. Third place? Are you kidding me? There was little anyone could do, however, so the choir’s representatives graciously accepted the obvious slight and the group packed and headed for the buses. Before they reached the dressing rooms three of the four remaining directors rushed to tell the Show Card directors that they were angry over the obvious failure of the judges. Even the winning director said that he felt foolish accepting the championship trophy. It was clear to all that Colerain had outperformed everyone there.
It’s a life lesson, albeit a difficult one. Being the best is different from being acknowledged as the best. Sometimes people will look right at you and still not see all that you are. We swallow hard and move forward. Life goes on, and so will the Show Cards. See you in Lebanon.
Hey, sorry if anyone saw a bad post by me. I am an alumni member of the choir, so don't put any blame on this years group. I wasn't trying to be mean to anyone and was mistaken by a post another member put on here so my apologies. I was just suprised at the outcome, b/c of how everything was going into finals. But congrats to all of the winners and I'm sorry if I upset anyone it is nothing against you whatsoever.

and Lebanon was equally amazing!!!! CONGRATS TO THEM AND UNLIKE WHAT EVERYONE SAYS....THEY DESERVE 100% to be in FINALS! and 100% TO BEAT COLERAIN, sorry guys, but their show is boring this year, clean, but boing! AND they were rude by leaving right after they were announced and saying rude things about Gar Hts and Leb.

who are you?
Mitchell Finke does do most of our choreography, and comes to our Wednesday rehersals each week,
but Shane came during the summer and a few times since, he did a fair amount of the choreography too.
I agree that Leb was great...very funny show and clean and good vocals
