I really don't find it that surprising that Olentangy won. Olentangy has already beaten Fairfield this year (Marysville Prelims) in case anyone has forgotten. However, doing it in finals (where Fairfield is known to REALLY step up their performance) is quite an amazing accomplishment. Congratulations to Olentangy, and all other groups that were in finals - this must have been awesome to watch. Wish I was there.

Not sure of the points differences in the finals because the points are done differently at night and I didnt have time to figure them out with my director. Basically 6 out of 8 judges scores are added together (the best and worst scores are taken out) and that makes up the final score; therefore, the scores are really high. I'm basing the points from my memory, so don't be mad if I messed up something! If anyone here knows anything more about the points for finals, feel free to correct me, cuz this was the first time I've been to Findlay! Great competition! Congrats to all!

TRAVELED TONIGHT TO FINDLAY AFTER I GOT OFF WORK!

i CAN'T SEE HOW THE JUDGES PICKED A WINNER THIS WAS SO CLOSE!

OLENTANGY: YOU HAVE CRISP VOCALS AND VERY WELL PUT TOGETHER CHOREO!!! YOUR BALLAD WAS BEAUTIFUL, YOUR GUYS NUMBER WAS JUST A GOOD CROWD PLEASER, AND YOU CLOSER WAS JUST WHAT YOUR SHOW NEEDED TO END IT! YOU GUYS DESERVED IT =). CONGRATS YOU TRULY TURNED THIS AROUND AT NIGHT AND MADE SURE BEAVERCREEK AND FAIRFIELD WOULDN'T GET THE WIN!

FAIRFIELD: mAN YOU GUYS GOT SOME CHOREO. YOU OPENER WAS EXCITING TO WATCH. LOVED THE COSTUMES. YOU GUYS DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT. LOVE YTHE BACK DROP AND YOUR CLOSER WAS INTENSE!!!!

Beavercreek, strong start to your season. You can really have a wonderful year. so believe in yourselves and buckle down on the show.

Carroll, heard your made some good strides forward today. You can bring the show a long way in the next week and raise your level at Northrop. I'm proud of both groups. God Bless, Damon

For Captions all I know is...

Best Male Soloist was Colerain's Ben Hays.

That's all I really heard because the person I talked to was from Colerain and they were very excited about that!

Hopefully other people know more!
Congrats Olentangy for knocking out fantastic groups in the end! You must have really wanted it!
Fairfield... I love you guys. Who needs a perfect record? shooooooot.
Medina... Way to be!!!
Beavercreek... So close, but knocked out in the end... oh well. still did F'n awesome.
Nitro... Way to show'em what you got. Congrats.

Good job to all of the other groups as well! I heard it was a close one.

My source says the order for finals performance is:
Fairfield
Nitro
Beavercreek
Medina
Olentangy

I know that Fairfield won GC in Class A and Beavercreek was 1st RU (Medina and Colerain were also class A). Can't wait to hear about finals!
