I'm pumped, thats what Ive heard plus i just reallllly wana do well, i mean who doesn't but you know..I just love going to new competitions. But yeah, my 2 friends and I took a little roadtrip to go to Marysville last year and all the groups just blew me away, plus i would have loved to see Twinsburg and Solon at this point in the year, along with Olentangy, one of my faves from last year, and just every choir there really.

I wish it would have been today, that way:
1. I wouldnt have to wait a whooole week and
2. I wouldnt feel so crappy about not being able to go watch Marysville =[

lol, i kno wut you mean. i wish i coulda went there too, and go to beavercreek for that matter. but BC was moved to the same weekend as garfields, so im gonna go there cuz...well..thats where i live. lol. but why did BC move back the weekend? i kno it was mentioned before somewhere (maybe in the archives?).

BC always puts on a very nice competition though. i kinda do wish i was going.

how is edgewood doing? i heard you all had a 20 member loss and a new director? is that true?

This is a false claim. At least some of it. We are still directed by Sue Combs and our choreography is still by Chris Beiser, just as it has been for many many many years.

As far as members go... seniors graduate, we know this. Yes we lost about 20 seniors, but our group still has 46 members. Everyone in the group is still very talented and I would say this years show is going to be awesome and exploit the personality that Edgewood includes in all their shows.

I'm expecting Northrop to give us a good run for our money to be honest, but I mean, would these competitions be ANY fun if you went and realized you surpassed every group there? Heck no...thats why they're COMPETITIONS, plus I don't believe I've ever seen Northrop, though i could be wrong since this is my 4th year and I'm getting a little show choir dementia, either way I'm definately amped to be seeing them and the other groups there! One week! =]

Okay, every year I like to scout opposing show choirs and see what kind of threats they have in store. I keep hearing about Northrop this year. I've watched their previous year's shows and they seem really good, but I watched this year's show they performed at the Bluffton Street Fair and the groups choreography seemed mediocre and lethargic. I realize that it was like that this past fall and they could've changed nearly their entire show. Especially the Time Warp number seemed to be missing energy. I think if the choreography was harder on that number it would force the choir to breathe deeper and and get a more productive vocal quality. For instance on the other numbers when they were doing more dancing, their vocals were better. Does anyone know if they have made adjustments for Beavercreek?

Our show at bluffton was just our fall show. Our choreography was easy because we had to learn the show in about a month. We have a totally brand new show, and it's very energetic.

By the way, the timewarp choreography was the same as it was in " Rocky Horror Picture Show" that's why it may have seemed mediocre.

. They have surpassed last year already and as a 07 senior thats hard for me to say. .

i know what you mean by that. i really didnt think that garfield wasnt gonna do good at marysville and they are in 4th right now over piqua (who we couldnt beat last year) and teays (who we couldant beat last year also)
