I'm getting so excited!! We did room assignments in class today for the hotel and i was just like AH! were so close! I just love the show choir season, haha.

I wish this was an overnighter for us, it's a good 2.5-3 hour drive, and finals awards are scheduled for 11:15 so we won't get home until AT LEAST 2:30am... Oh well, fun bus rides!

Just because you think you should have been placed higher on MY prediction list does NOT give you any right to be rude.

From the Beavercreek website http://home.earthlink.net/~creekshow choirclassic/id14.html
Kettering "Illusion"
Nitro "Show Cats"
Ross "Rhythm and Motion"
Riverdale "Soundsation"
Lebanon "Singers"
Northrop "Charisma"
Licking Valley "vocal Impact"
St. Clairsville "singers"
South Dearborn "Opening Knights"
Hamilton "Rhapsody In Blue"
Euclid "Varsity Chorale"
Milton Union "Center Stage"
Ada "Varsity Singers"
Edgewood "Choraliers"
Bishop Luers "Minstrels"
Dekalb "Classic Connection"
Dekalb "Sound Sensation"

And two middle schools:
Dunbar singers
South Dearborn

I'm extremely excited to see the interesting turn out of this competition. I'm not about to make any prediction about my group. I will say that we might very well make some head turns this year. We have some cool stuff in store.

Excluding Edgewood I would say in no particular order these groups are going to be tough to beat.

Dekalb
Bishop Luers
Nitro
Euclid
St. Clairsville
Northrop

My Prediction:

Grand Champion: Dekalb
1st Runner-Up: St. Clairsville
2nd Runner Up: Edgewood
3rd Runner-Up: Northrop
4th Runner-Up: Euclid
5th Runner-Up: Bishop Luers

I will go into shock if Dekalb doesn't take this one back to Indiana. They always have a strong show and this year should be no exception. St. Clairsville has really proven themselves a strong competitor the past couple years. Edgewood was spectacular last year. I always enjoy thier show and can't wait to see what they have in store for this year. As for the last 3 spots, I think this is how it will play out based on thier reputations as strong choirs but they could be easily interchanged. Can't wait for Beavercreek. It should be a great competition!

I would like to make a small change to my earlier prediction:

GC: Dekalb
1st: St. Clairsville
2nd: Edgewood
3rd: Northrop
4th: Nitro
5th: Euclid

This is going to be a fantastic competition to watch and Good Luck to all competing choirs!!

this competition is really close. i hope i get to come. i think the results are going to be a big surprise. there are about 10 choirs that are really good. is euclid like amazing this year or something? they keep getting placed very high, and according to awards won last year it just seems like a stretch? i haven't seen them at all this year so i may not know what i'm talking about. choirs improve a lot everywhere, i was just wondering.

YouTube Euclid's show from last year. I saw them last year live at Garfield Heights competition. They didn't place as well as they should have at that competition due to funky judging. Their vocals are mediocre, but their dancing, energy, and entertainment value really sets them apart from a lot of groups I've seen, and they've become one of my favorite groups to watch . But I've actually heard that Euclid is going to be having kind of an off year this year. So I don't know.

Does Beavercreek only take 5 finalists? I'm going to base my predictions on 6 finalists.

GC - Dekalb
1ru - Euclid
2ru - Northrop
3ru - Edgewood
4ru - Bishop Luers
5ru - St. Clairesville

Best Vocals - this is funny because none of these groups are especially strong vocal groups, haha. Dekalb's alright, Euclid's alright, I guess of the top three Northrop has the best vocals.

Best Choreo - Dekalb probably, but Euclid maybe.

Best Band - Dekalb

I think the top 3 are interchangeable. How is Dekalb going to be this year? Like didn't Beavercreek beat them at Findlay FEst last year? It kind of seems like they've been going downhill, I dunno though. Northrop was close to Dekalb at Bluffton apparently, and Euclid was really awesome last year, if they keep improving like they have been they could possibly win (last time they competed against Dekalb (Brush 05) they actually beat them). I also think that Nitro could possibly break into finals over St. Clairesville, but St. C has been making finals a lot recently. Edgewood has been improving also, Luers is pretty mediocre but they're normally in finals so I couldn't count them out.

I would like to agree with my good friend's prediction and also point out that its spelled Northrop with an "o".
