I would guess it's a combination of 3 things:
a. Cedar Rapids Kennedy moving their date to the same weekend.
b. Issues with the judging panel.
c. Issues with the facility, lighting, and sound.
I just remembered another thing. Last year we waited for an HOUR in the other gym waiting to go perform. There was a line of groups behind us. That was just totally crazy and completely unorganized.

but wow - this competition has certainly taken a hit this year! OUCH!
Davenport Central will not be attneding this year with how bad we where treated last year!!!!! Instead we will be loading are trailers and will be going to the Cedar Rapids Kennendy competition!!!!
lol. i think just like with Onalaska, the competition just grew too big and it really wasn't fun anymore. There was just all this tension and bad energy last year.... idk. that may be a reason why a lot of people changed competitions. GO DAVENPORT WEST!

These are all of the groups for the competition this year. The beautiful and new auditorium is not even being used, everything is in the barn... I mean gym.
I said last year that 2006 would be the first year that a Davenport show choir would make finals (refering to Central), and it did not happen (Central placed 8th, West placed 9th). I would hope 2007 would be the year this happens.
