This isn't a website just for kids. If it was, then the administrator would not allow parents or any adult for that matter to join. It is a forum for anyone involved in and cares about show choir (directors, choroegraphers, parents and students). MySpace and Facebook are websites for young people. If Bryan took offense at what I said, then I am sorry. But I still stand by it.

I know quite a few parents/adults on Facebook and MySpace.

and its show choir.
Thanks

The guy is still right. This isn't the "most loaded" competition. Just because he thinks Poca will be near the top, doesn't mean that he thinks the other choirs arent competitive.
No offense, but why is a mom on a kids website anyways?? Sorry if that may offend you.

GC: Poca/Manchester
1st RU: Manchester/Poca
2nd RU: Martinsburg/Nitro/St. Clairsville
3rd RU: Nitro/Martinsburg/St. Clairsville
4th RU: St. Clairsville/Nitro/Martinsburg
5th RU: Lee Davis

The bolds represent my "best chance" picks for those spots. I've seen Nitro at Beavercreek, they looked decent, better than what I saw last year. Poca is usually always a solid group, so I think they have a good shot, along with Manchester. Martinsburg I don't know much about, but I've heard they can be pretty good.

(Besides you're in college now and need to rise above petty high school digs at each other.)

Bryan, I don't think bashing any of the groups coming is they way to handle your feelings about your alumni. There are some good groups attending this competition and saying that it's not "the most loaded competition" not only puts down the rest of the groups, but puts down Poca as well. It sounds like you are saying they are only in the running for Grand Champs because there is no one else worthwhile coming. And as to Nitro not winning anywhere. No, they have not been Grand Champs overall, but they have been first in their class at both competitions they have attended, they were 1st runner up in Portsmouth and 2nd runner up at Beavercreek and had the best show concept at Beavercreek. Pretty good for a group the didn't make finals anywhere last year. We know this a rebuilding year for Nitro and they have a way to go. But every group has to start somewhere. I realize that Nitro and Poca have strong "feelings" about each other, but it is time to put all those aside and start supporting each other as sister show choirs and fellow West Virginia choirs when we are out-of-state. That way we show the rest of the show choir community that West Virginia choirs are contenders and that we support each other no matter what. (Besides you're in college now and need to rise above petty high school digs at each other.)

i completely understand wat ur saying, and i definitely wasnt "taking petty digs" at anybody..when i said this competition isnt loaded, i meant that it doesnt have the findlay's and marysville's and the other show choir giants as there normally are, and besides, i did say there were good groups coming, just not the elites...i wasnt trying to put anybody down and i hope everybody realizes that....sry i came off that way...its hard to understand wat people say just by these typed words...u dont feel the emotion and its hard 2 understand the exact meaning of wat i said, or anybody for that matter, so again, sry if i came off as harsh or anything...but no i was just trying to get the point across to the other guy to not be cocky because nothing has been proven yet and that poca isnt bad like he thinks they are and not to be so cocky about his own group...i just felt his attitude made it seem like poca sucked and thats quite the oppposite..its just dont say things that are false that's all...i was actually trying to protect him from attacks lol thats all

poca will definitely be that high..this isnt exactly the most loaded competition anyways, but still, the groups that will be there are good and poca is just as good as most of those groups, if not all of them...about all of them except manchester...the only reason i cant say they are better is because i havent seen them...no offense, but nitro hasnt won anywhere, so you cant brag so much quite yet..sure poca isnt the best, in fact far from it, but they are an extremely solid group and they will more than likely be in the running for GC...not only that, but nitro hasnt been anywhere poca has, so how do u know they arent good???...this is just my opinion, and if it upsets people sry, but thats how i feel and im free 2 state my opinion..but thats how i feel and im sure most others do too, but aside from that, i wish everybody the best of luck and have fun
