I was just looking around the MadHatters website, and I realized that one of their members is a Fort alum!

If anyone remembers the Time show from 2003 I think, you'll remember Bill Shuknecht. He was the soloist at the very beginning of the show and in the ballad.

He also was a soloist in their "Planet" show. He did the "Blue Moon" solo. The aforementioned soloist for Fort's show THIS year is Bill's younger brother. I think his name is Jack?

Hey, I have a friend who is hosting Holmen "Midwest Magic" at Eau Claire Winterfest and was wondering if you could give me your songs so they could properly decorate your room, etc.

Thanks.

Yeah, I think the Time show was 2002? It was the year Moulin Rouge was huge.

Actually, I think Fort's ballad is based on a different version of The World I Know

The version they use is by the MadHatters, a men's a capella group from UW-Madison. It has a little bit of Peter Gabriel's In Your Eyes and some of TLC's Waterfalls in it as well.

The MadHatters website

I really love this ballad, and really, this entire show.

You're so smart!

Wow... I listened to the clip and it's awesome just like their ballad.

I agree. The kid gives the song something that is better than the original track.

Gaw, I just love Fort's show this year... especially their ballad.

I agree with you fully, the ballad just completes their show this year.

Just to add to my earlier information...
I'm very certain that the guy from Fort Atkinson will win Best Male soloist, because he performs the solo to a point where I think he sings it better than the actual singer...Collective soul I belive is the actual band that does it.

Lol whatever Chris. Back ON topic, I think TG might take this one.

I agree.

I think it will be a close race between Hastings though.

I want to see the top three be Totino, Hastings, and Fort Atkinson.

I think his name (from Totino) is Brian Selzner or something. I feel horrible for not knowing his name because I've met him a few times and he's really cool. *hangs head in shame*

Brian Salzer

The Fort Guy is phenomonal...When he's hits it right it's amazing. It'll be close between Matt and him... Another thing to think of: At one of their comps(Linn-Mar?), Totino-Grace had a best male soloist...Just something to think about!

This weekend should give us all a pretty good feel about the groups in Minnesota and Wisconsin, so we don't have to resort to all this unsure guessing! But it's good to speak your mind, I suppose ;)

DiAndre, he was at Viterbo.
