Hey, its nice to see someone put us up that high, but i have to admit that i can't quite justify it myself. CR Wash has consistently beaten us the past few years, and while i think that we are going to have our best year in recent memory this year, its still not impossible to say that we are or will be better than CR Wash.

I've only seen CR Wash once before, and that was last year same comp. But, since I heard your concert choir at Dorian I figured some of that diction / vocal work would translate into show choir! Can't wait to at least hear your group We'll see! It's the start of a new season! Dunno how many of the groups are doing yet

By the way - does anyone know who's judging? / Has a list? That'd be interesting to know!

Davenport West is in the same boat, except we're heading off to Onalaska!

I don't know why we didn't have finals before break.

omg I totally agree!

My Prediction:
GC-TG
1RU-Hastings
2RU-Eau Claire
3RU-Milton - (This is hoping - and depending on how much work we get done this week.... )
4RU-Iowa City West
5RU-CR Wash

BV BChoreo BCombo - TG

Of course it all depends on judges and who performs before/ after who.... so, who knows - I'll be happy if we make finals and don't take last in finals! Gonna take a bit of work to ensure a well completed goal!
wasn't a big fan of going first in finals at Viterbo... but it was a fun competition! Hope to see more groups while I'm there! And Hope to have lots more fun! Goodluck and see you in.... 5 days!

Also - funny thing - at Viterbo, Hastings, Milton and Us (Eau Claire) Cheered /w each other - Hastings and Milton did the Hey ___ we wanna see you get down "No Way" We wanna see ya get down - Okay! D-O-W-N thats how we get down D-O-W-N thats how we get Down (sorry if its a little off - first time i heard that one!!)

Ours that we're used to goes - Hey ___ are you ready? " For What?" I said.... Hey ___ are you ready? "for what?" - The Gigalo!!!! Put ya hands up high put ur hands down low - thats the way we gigalo, jig - a low jig, a low woooooo

When we tried it with milton and hastings it went are you ready? for what? are you ready? Yeah! - and that screwed us up! It was great fun though! We should get a massive wave going before finals awards at MG! And we'll have to keep the cheers going! - If you have more than We got spirit how bout you? - Gigalow - and Get Down - Throw em up here so we can keep ourselves busy and having fun!

Iowa city west will most likely have great vocals...they hosted dorian fest this weekend and their concert choir was outstanding!

I think anyone can bounce up in these finals spots, you never know what groups can get accomplished in one week! I think every spot is up for grabs, I wouldn't put it past anyone to kick it up a notch and surprise everyone this year.

You could still come to our competition, just ride the bus from the UW campus to the high school. I've done it before for a track meet. Take the #3 from right outside the southeast dorms (if that's where you are) to the east transfer point, then get on the #31. Eventually you'll pass a golf course, then Dean Ave. Get off at the first stop after you pass Dean. If you're in Lakeshore, then you can take the 80 to Park and Johnson and do what I said above.

This goes for anyone who goes to UW-Madison and wants to come to the competition. This will result in about an hour or so of bus riding each way, but if you really want to be there like I did for the track meet, you can do it.

And actually, if you were still in show choir, you couldn't come to MG because Neenah isn't coming. ;)

That was the original plan, to take the bus to Monona....but considering classes don't start until the next week, I'll still be in Neenah...

...which means that this girl is going to get on the parent bus to Onalaska....sorry guys, must root for the alma mater!!!!

Still good luck to everyone competing, I'll be sure to check the results as soon as I'm home!!!
