Based on the last few comp. placings i would say finalists would be....

(in no particular order)

Monona Grove
Hastings
Fort
Manteno? (haven't seen them but heard a lot about them)
Eau Claire
Altoona

but it's gonna be a battle for slots!!

Yeah Al is right... you definitely gotta watch out for Manteno.  They are tough.  Nate man... you picked p-view to beat y'all- come on man where's the confidence    hahaha.  Also I have seen Fort's show for this year and i won't give it away but its wicked cool.

lol, stud. Keeping the o-ville / b-town rivalry going. =P

Well geez...I guess there is no love of Eau Claire this year.  I really do think our show is pretty good and even though people have a little controversy over the standings at Milton we did beat Fort, Hastings, Monona Grove, and Davenport West.  I'm not in anyway saying we have them beat I am just saying that is the way things panned out and we are so far having a very good year so don't forget about Eau Claire...And hey Jenny B from Altoona, this is Johnny B from Eau Claire.

Johnny B!!! What's up? Congrats at Milton!!!

Well, from what I've been told by people in Monroe's show choir, they aren't good at all....and their music department has much to be desired for...but this is purely my opinion of course. (Can just see a bunch of Monroe people jumping all over him)

The more you think about it, the judging wasn't all that bad at Milton. 10 groups can claim they may have deserved finals, and the judges had to pick only 6. It just so happens that all 4 of the ones left out are some of the most active on SCC which slants things a bit.

oh i know, i also wish them well, but i noticed that no one put them on their predictions for finals, so i was just trying to exaggerate my point...sorry if i used bad examples

OK, so you don't know much about Monroe. They are one of the most "traditional" SCHOOLS, not show choirs, there's a difference. For example they're probably the largest school in Wisconsin with no soccer team, and you never hear anything about their music department. I'd like to see them do well (I don't wish anyone to fail) but I wouldn't be surprised if both Monona Grove Silver Dimension and Divaz beat them. I'd like to see Colby make strides and deserve to get in, that would be nice, I think they almost always win the spirit award

I haven't heard of Manteno or Mayville, but by what others are saying, my rankings would be...

GC Fort Atkinson
1RU  Manteno
2RU Monona Grove
3RU  Parkview
4RU  Mayville
5RU  Hastings?

But if we get judges like this past weekend, maybe we might get Colby or Monroe mixed in there, or maybe even a prep group or two!!  " border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

If there are judges like these past two weekends, then don't expect us to make finals, least of all GC. But lets hope that doesn't happen, at least about the finals part. I don't care as much about the GC, even though it would be pretty amazing.

Last time I talked about Eau Claire Memorial it was to say they were one of the most underrated show choirs in Wisconsin. This was back in November. I wish I could have seen their show. I also called Mayville the most underrated. Manteno you can't argue with because they are really good, Fort was still pretty close so it was a tossup there, you'd have to be pretty good for me to like you better than Hastings (not that the judges or anyone else will agree). Brodhead is going to be a tougher competition than last year. If you can get the same place or even one or two below you will still have made great strides.
