ummmmmmm wow.... thats really all i hafta say... NOT!

ummmm so i think that we really got screwed over... we performed our show PERFECTLY!!!! our sound actually busted the speakers on the tv and we could still hear ourselves singing... the choreo was extremely together... we had an AMAZING critique, and the critique lady said that every judge loved our show (but i guess that was wrong).  i think our time really killed our placing, and bloomington jeffs time was too good.... coming 2nd to last after a break... they were not good... i actually fell asleep during the show.  bemidji was psycho... it was boring as hell... immature vocals with no diction i fell asleep again (this is why i couldnt get to sleep on the bus now that i think about it)\

good things:

THE SCHOOL ROX!!!!!!! THEY HAVE A BRIDGE!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!

mcdonalds inside a walmart!!!! OMG GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!

ALANA ROX MY WORLD!!!!!! i love u hun even tho we didnt get to talk all that much!

I just want to say that every judge has their own opinions and styles. be careful not to come off as pissed at the judges. At Mt Zion this year the judges did not like TG's full, rich sound. They prefered a straight tone. However, at Hastings it was one of the things they were looking for. There are so many comp's that have problems with judging, i just dont feel that hastinsg is one of them. Nancy Allen and Andrew Cao are both good jugdes who always try to keep groups positive dsuring the critiques. but the truth is they dont judge untill the evening. I can understand how working hard and not making finals is disappointing. But i find it sad when people tear down other groups. these groups did not jugde themselves. they did not pick the finalists. I have not been happy with all of TG's placements over my 4 years, nor have we always finished where the critique judge told us we would be. But hastings is one of the best run comp's that i have been to. The hosts are always really nice, the critiques are always well balanced between postive and negative, and the school is well kept ( good food, clean, ect). not to mention that its the best theater around. i just want people to be more postive and I would like to see less tearing down of others.

AS for our room hosts I LOVE YOU ALL. i had so much fun even if i lost in cards during the lunch break

Peoples Choice went to Totino Grace
Best Combo went to Totino Grace
Best Male Soloist went to a guy from Bemidji
Best Female Soloist went to a girl from Bloomington Kennedy.

CRWASH: I think one of the downfalls to your show would be the ending combo of tap and disco. the tap had no reason of being there, and towards the middle it fell apart. i had you guys placed into finals ahead of Bloomington Jefferson, but i'm not a judge.

Bemidji: Whoever said that your show was crap is on drugs. Your ballad displayed AMAZING vocal technique and ability, and your choreo was clean as heck. congrats!

Totino: GOd i love you guys! holy crap. i dont know what to say except wow.

PS: If i see another we both reached for the gun and have to hear, "OH YES OH YES WE BOTH REACHED FOR THE GUN THE GUN THE GUN..." ect, i will die. i think that CR WASH's was the best!

Our prep choir had an awesome critique last year that made us think we had a chance a competition. We still ended up last.

I loved the Hastings comp. yesterday. It was run very well and our room hosts were awesome. I can't wait to see Hastings again. They have a great show this year and they're doing well. I'd like to say thanks for a great weekend to all the show choir people that were there and to all the supporters that came to see us and all the other groups.

I hosted them and they are totally awesome. I lurrve them a lot! I thought their set was really fun too, 'The Remedy' totally rocked my socks. And their singing was so strong, I got mad chills. Although they're a very forgetful choir (I was always running back and forth picking things up for them ;)) I thought they were awesome and I hope they come back next year!

Plus it's like the won because we all know Totino would win, I was so proud of them.

In response to Jorge....the Hastings contest was very well ran and everything was made so easy. Hasting's highschool is totally amazing!! my god! wow. As far as good stories...well this didn't happen at the contest but on the way home we stopped at a food court in the mall and saw a ton of people get aressted. That was awesome as well as cops fighting with people. man, I love show choir.
