Jennifer Culver is a piano teacher and one of three band directors at Cuyahoga Falls HS. Kim Sulek is a local choreographer. She has choreographed the high school's musicals for the last 20 years. She used to choreograph for show choirs. As for the others, I can't be much help right now. But I can find out more if you're just dying to know

I know Ron Hazlet is/was a professional Opera Singer. He now is a vocal instructor here in NEO. He also is the musical director for different high schools musicals in NEO. Great Bass singer! ;)

So apparently there's a highly contagious bacterial infection going around in Colerain and several of their members caught it, so they've decided to drop from the competition. Hope they all get well soon!

I've removed Colerain from the schedule above, but I'm not sure if that update will have an affect on the performance times. If there is a change, just let us know and we can make the adjustments.

Sorry to hear Colerain members are feeling ill.

Personally not a fan of band directors being used to judge show choir unless they are judging the band solely. Also not a fan of using local people versus people actually involved in the show choir world. I just know in 2006 Marysville used some local people to judge and the results suffered because of it.

Just my personal opinion here.

Not trying to be rude, but who are these people? Really I just have never heard of any of them except for maybe Ron Hazlett.

What's wrong this time?[/quote]

I believe there were a few issues. I was told the weather caused their rehearsals this week to be canceled, so they're not prepared. I also heard some of their members have the ACT that day and Sectionals for swimmers. I guess it just wasn't a good day for them.

Perhaps snow could play a part in it.

They did. The entire schedule remains the same except for the last few groups.

Findlay - 4:10 PM
ETC - 4:40 PM
Strongsville - 5:10 PM

The M's will perform at 5:40, daytime awards have been moved to 6:30, and finals are scheduled to begin at 8. Hopefully we won't have to make any more changes!

Don't miss the St C show if you can help it. Keep in mind that the Singers are pulling talent from a High School enrollment of less than 600 students. The band is awfully fun to watch too!

We were lucky enough to watch ETC, Marysville and Colerain last week in Marion and they are all outstanding! I am looking forward to coming back up to the Cuyahoga Classic, great hosts and wonderful facility.

Just out of curiosity, anyone from Cuyahoga have the judges names?

This competition will be a good throw down between 4 top groups for finals spots!

I believe it's the same as last year.
