Im not talking about there show, im talking about vocals, dancing, everything that makes up a show choir and i wasnt impressed at all...except, the tap..

I'm afraid I must disagree.

Findlay's vocals are some of the best in Ohio, beautiful blend, diction, tone quality, everything. I agree with the dancing and such, but Findlay's a group that doesn't focus ALL their attention on their dancing, their more of a vocal group than anything, however, their opener choreography last year ("Sing Sing Sing"), that was the BEST swing number I've ever seen a choir do.

I'm not saying that you're wrong. Everyone here is entitled to their own opinion, however I find Findlay always manages to pull off a very classy show, and I love them!

i agree with both of you in part. i can understand where SoloistStud is coming from in not liking Findlay's particular style. the so-called "classy" style of show choir is something of an aquired taste. while groups that subscribe to that kind of show often showcase more choral vocals and have clean partnered choreography, i also find it to be very limiting in song selection and can lead to groups becoming stale and predictable.

however Findlay is, and has been for some time, at the top of the heap when it comes to this style of show choir. i can certainly appreciate they're vocal prowess and agree with Enollio191 in that they offer some of the best vocals in Ohio.

respecting both opinions, i'm excited to see what Findlay has to offer this year. i noticed a drop in quality in last season's show compared to 2005's, which is hardly surprising when changing directors or after coming off a show as cleanly executed as 2005's, but i've heard they might surprise people this year.

I couldn't agree with you more Eric. Because in College they're looking for people to sing like Findlay does. Very well trained. Not these pop star singers but these people who can sing Italian and not stretching for those higher notes, etc....

I should remove that post from this topic, Rian, because it has nothing to do with this topic. Go take that conversation somewhere else, please.

I cannot wait to see you shut up, Rian. No but seriously, from all of the hype this competition has been receiving lately, it seems like it will be a rather interesting competition. Though if Clover Hill is as good (or maybe even better) as they have been in the years that I competed against them...they may have a shot at third place. Keep an eye out for them this year.

Findlay isnt that good this year, but they sure do know how to tap dance..look for them in NY

If you've seen anything, you've probably seen their fall show, which is not even close to as good as their competition show. I have nothing but Faith in Findlay!!!
