Sure, it happens all of the time.

It is very frustrating and if you don't think it is, then...

what songs and arrangments are you talkin about???.... Oh, if you haven't notice.... opelika and us both do several of the same dance breaks.... and if you watch all the groups with the same choreographer they have the VERY SIMILAR choreo from group to group, i don't think it's that big of a deal. So what if we have the same stuff....

I just searched this site and found out that Albertsville's choreographer is suprisingly Mike Weaver. Who would have guessed?

It frustrates me very much when a choreographer gets paid so much money to teach original choreography, when it is not original at all.

ETC has whole sequences similar to Albertsville. Not just whole sequences, but a same song/arrangment! No matter who you are, wouldn't that make you very upset?

"This was one weird weekend...no doubt about that."

I completely agree.

Being a stage crew member, Belmont was the worst experience I have ever had at a competition. The crew members from Belmont were very nasty, the load-in/load-out was extremely difficult, and the auditorium was way too small for 22 groups. Also, the drum set/grand piano were just in the way. The majority of the groups use their own.

Being an aspiring lighting designer, may I just comment on some of the groups "contraptions"? They are great, but the way they are used were awful! Colors clashed and distracted me greatly.

All of these groups are not as AMAZING!!!! as some of you say they are. Hurricane is great, but I got confused...sometimes I felt like I was at a gymnastics competition. The same people doing it over and over got tiring...the first couple of times were ok.

Could someone please tell me who Albertsville's choreographer is?

Consider yourself corrected. Whether or not they have someone record the show for general sales

That's what I meant ;)... I don't think someone sales a video of the groups. They may video each group for critiquing purposes however.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Belmont doesn't have anyone record their comp.

Consider yourself corrected. Whether or not they have someone record the show for general sales, I don't know, but I do know that every director gets a video of their performance.

I loved Homewood! I didn't pay that close of attention to which groups were in finals, but i assumed y'all were. Then I found out the results and I was like "Wait what about Homewood?!?" Great job yesterday to everyone. It was a nice change seeing so many southern choirs.
