So, can someone post the entire schedule? Thanks.

Makes sense... you can't always believe what you see. I'm hoping it's 40. That's my ideal number of members to be in a show choir!

The number 35 is correct ONLY if the information here on SCC is correct... which is not always the case. But, if you click "Choirs"... and then "alabama"... and then Opelika "Ovations"... and then "2006", they have all of the members, and it only counts up to 35.

That info isn't correct. I know there are a few people on the list that are not in ovations. Some of the girls on the Ovations list are actually in Impressions. I'm not sure exactly how many people Ovations has but I think it may be more than 35.

Cool... I wish I could come. I wonder why we've never done that before.

Btw, I just saw that Opelika only has 35 performers this year. When I graduated from Opelika (in 2000), we had over 50 in the show choir. I don't know if this was a decision to have fewer people... or if it was because people quit or what? I think the ideal number is 38-42 singers (you can do more with choreography), but 35 is a little low. Oh well... just an observation.

Ha. I lied. Turns out that Opelika will be able to use the OPAC after all, so we aren't doing our preview shows together. Wish we would though. It'd be fun.

And Opelika only has 35 people this year? Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang. We have 44 I believe. But I always remember Opelika as having, like, a bajillion people on stage every year. It's gonna be wierd this year not seeing that many.

Oh. And if anyone is gonna be in the Auburn area Thursday, for the first time ever, Auburn High and Opelika High will be doing a preview show together at Auburn High on Feb. 2nd at 7 p.m. Both the women's and mixed groups from each school will be performing, along with the women's and mixed group from Auburn Jr. High. It's gonna be fun!

I'm willing to bet that either Auburn or Eufala will be right before Enterprise. It always seems to be that way every year. Ha. Oh well. 5 days!

Auburn never does that... they are always the worst at scheduling. You should always have the best choirs last. Not only does it keep the butts in the seat, but it lets the judges see the best choirs perform right next to each other, and they can accurately judge who did better.

It's probably gonna be Oak Mtn last again, then y'all, then Opelika, then Enterprise, then Auburn. Kinda like it was last year. Although the best way to do it would be SP last, Enterprise next to last, and Auburn before them.

(Have them go in the order they finished last year)

According to my director who talked to Dr. Smith at AMEA this weekend, Auburn High is going to be competeing at 4:40. That's all I know so far.

Don't hold your breathe... i remember last year, Auburn's schedule didn't get posted on here until like the week of the competition. Maybe it'll be better this year

Also, I'm just an observer this year, so having all the big groups together is even better!

Exactly... I know that it stinks when you are in a group and can't see them all, but as an observer... it's awesome to have them all back-to-back-to-back...

I hope it happens again this year!

I think the word you were looking for was "suspense"... lol, but I like your word mostest.

And, I kinda agree with what you said, but the top contenders should have the luxury of bringing up the rear (especially in comps that don't have Finals like Auburn and Opelika). The judges need a chance to compare those choirs while they are fresh on their minds.

I agree. Auburn did a good job of this last year...the last groups were Auburn, Eufaula, Opelika, Enterprise, and Spain Park. (And then Oak Mountain, for some reason " border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />). Hopefully they'll do it again.

Also, I'm just an observer this year, so having all the big groups together is even better!
