Yes. Excited is better. I can't wait to see them again this year!!!

And WesTraen, why is it that Totino-Grace and Albertville never see eachother at the same competition? I've always wanted to see your group live. Maybe someday...

i am suprised people don't have homewood higher in these "predictions". I think they are great this year. Based on their performance at homewood's competition, I would not have south jones close to making finals. So I think the givens are clinton, mt zion and homewood in finals with pascagoula, albertville, spain park and tupelo (don't know how they are this year) vying for the other spots.

Pascagoula will be in Finals before Homewood or Albertville IMO... And I thought that they should have beaten Spain Park at Homewood... So with Clinton and MTZ being virtual locks, and Goula and SP probably making it in, we've got the last spot... South Jones and Homewood are the groups I think that will REALLY compete for this last spot, but Albertville is definately the sleeper... They can sing with the best of them, and I'm sure they have a chip on their shoulders after not placing as well maybe as others (me) thought they should have at South Jones and Opelika... And then there's Tupelo, who no one knows anything about... They'll also be in the mix for that spot...

I think a lot will be known after Belmont this weekend, because that will be the first time Tupelo is showcased...

I'm thinking Mt. Zion could pull off the upset this year. Their show is awesome and i think clinton has a few weak points this year-- although they are still very very good.

You have to remember who they are going against. I see Clinton and Mt. Zion in the top 2 spots, and most predictions are indicating that. Homewood and Spain Park are going to be the groups fighting for the 3rd and 4th spots in my opinion, and I think it could go either way (I'm picking Spain Park to win that battle based on their performance last week... so I have Homewood in 4th)... and I see Albertville in the 5th place.

(good point about Tupelo though... I have no info on them this year, but they could be a contender for finals as well)

As much as I love MTZ, just from what I've seen on Youtube and heard from others, I haven't been that impressed with their vocals. Granted, their novelty number is hilarious, and their closer costumes are very sharp, but I feel that Clinton will still win this, and while it will be close, it won't be as close as some people might think. I hope that MTZ has improved from the beginning of the season, and I would love to see them pull off the upset, but I just don't think it'll happen.

Judges?

GC: Clinton(It will be NecknNeck)
1RU: Mt. Zion(It will be NecknNeck)
2RU: Spain Park
3RU: Homewood
4RU: South Jones

Is there best vocals, choreo, and band? Not sure about southern comps... sry, but this is what i would pick:
Vocals: Mt. Zion
Choreo: Clinton
Band: Clinton

Keep in mind I have only seen a couple of these groups... i just want to have fun

Does anyone happen to know how finals are decided? Are the top 5 scores of the day accepted into finals, or does the class A winner get into finals along with the other 4 top scores of the day? Thanks!

The top 5 scores of the day are put into the pot for finals regardless of division. So, theoretically, small mixed, womens, and large mixed groups could all be represented in the finals on Saturday night.

I've got one that will please you... Pascagoula will win the 30 and under division...

As for Finals, I'm going with a HUGE upset:

GC: Mt. Zion
1st RU: Clinton
2nd RU: Spain Park
3rd RU: South Jones
4th RU: Pascagoula

That upset wouldn't be THAAAT Huge. Mt. Zion is pretty well established you know. Clinton is probably #1 in the nation in the past 5-10 years. Mt. Zion (in my opinion) would be in the Top 10 nation wide during the past 5-10 years.

It should be a top notch competition. Here's how I see it going down:
GC: Clinton
1RU: Mt. Zion
2RU: Spain Park
3RU: Homewood
4RU: Albertville/Pascagoula

I'll say that Albertville makes it in if there isn't a tie-in for the top Div A group... but if there is a Div-A tie-in, then I'd say that Pascagoula makes it.

im ready for mt. zion. however, i feel like clinton will beat them. they are just a southern legacy.

So you are saying because Mt. Zion is from the midwest they will lose to Clinton? Because thats what it sounds like to me.
