Because coincidently Unleashed's set was going to be "Harry Potter" but we all know Los Al had that idea too. We were going to just go a long with it and just have a fun, silly version. We even had a number prepared. When Mrs. Hart saw Los Al's version she said I should think twice about the set and I too was discouraged. Another reason was it was too difficult to get practices scheduled because the primary chreographer, Gerald Espinosa (I was the secondary) was really busy with his career as a professional dancer

Oh dang that sucks! >_< Would have been fun to see, haha everyone has something to bring to the table. =D That's understandable, but yeah that's too bad. Hopefully it turns out better next year, still would have liked to see it! xD

The last two nights were FILLED with so much energy and Show Choir LOVE between all the show choirs in California! Thank you to everyone who competed and attended and thank you to the Chula kids for hosting! It was an EPIC event!

MY favorite moments....
David Moellenkamp entrance in his hat and briefcase for the Desperate Housewives opener then running off! and THEN accepting the "Best Dressed Director Award" by leaping on the stage in victory!!!

Brett Carroll in his blue cowboy shirt...

Harry Potter... awesome

Seeing April James, Dwight Jordan, Jen Oundjian, Randy Sage, Damon Brown, Reina Bolles, Chad Alexander, Stephen Todd - The Ultimate Choreographer Conclave of the Decade - all in the same theater!!! WOW!!!!

Burrough's historic "Fireworks". What an incredible "event" that was!

Burbank's MAGIC certainly was in full throttle last night!!! AMAZING!!!
The Burbank Boys LEANING magic effect is the BEST MAGIC I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!

Watching DIAMOND BAR perform "Empire State of Mind"... at their seats!

Seeing everyone erupt in cheer and throwing up the "L" sign when Dot was introduced at SoCal!

Dwight Jordan.. 'nuff said

Chula returning to the show choir stage with surprise guest soloists from Los Al, Burbank and John Burroughs.

Dot hugging each Chula kid on their way off the stage

Dot surprise kiss when asked about her "kiss" with Matthew Morrison!

So much more...

Shoutouts to those who traveled from Iowa, Alabama, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota to witness the "So Cal Experience"!!

Thank you Dot "The Beiste" Jones for her support and love for all the show choir kids!!
Dot judged, gave out trophies, took pictures with the Grand Champions and hugged almost every show choir kid she came across!!! Thank you coach! and Thank you Glee!!

So Cal 2012 will be
April 20-21, 2012

Calling all out of state show choirs... COME to California! We want YOU to perform with us and experience this great event!

Please place your nominations for the Hall of Fame now.

Pyrotechnics?! Falling curtains?! Amazing and eye-popping... The Stevens brothers were probably the two people working the hardest yesterday... Props to them and to all the tech crews involved.

However, to me the real stars are the kids who sang and danced their hearts out onstage. I thought the hightlight of the Powerhouse set was when they just stood and sang a beautiful arrangement of Gravity. Judges Choice and Best A Cappella awards were well deserved. Bravo!

And that was the best Sound Vibes performance I have seen in a few years. Congrats!!

total agreement...

HOPEFULLY! I mean, it's all up to my choir director. Competing in double a was pretty intense.

Great job! Didn't get to see you guys, but I'm sure you guys are AA Division material, I think you guys are ready to move up. If you saw me, I had blond hair on my left side.

Is there any way that I could buy the DVD with all 3 groups from the AAA division still? I didn't have enough money yesterday to buy it, but I really want to have that DVD, it was such a great night! Thanks

Yes, you can just go to V&S Videos and order from there. Just e-mail Sue what you want to purchase since 2011 isn't up yet and if you have questions too. She replies really quickly. I guarantee.

Congrats to Burbank Insync and my nephew Kayson and my Bro Shawn for the win, you guys worked hard and it showed. Congrats to all of the Burroughs program for the Sweepstakes award. Thanks to the Burroughs boosters for supporting me and letting me dream. Thanks to all for the props for the Pyro, It took a crap load of planning and work and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, but with a song like Fireworks how could I resist. Jen, your amazing and thanks for believing. Now I sleep! Hunny Badger!!

Congrats to Hart and Burbank. Seeing Hart at Pow Wow was amazing! I'm so happy for you guys, you definitely deserve it. I haven't seen Burbank's or Burrough's show live this year. But I'm sure like every year you guys were amazing. GO SHOW CHOIR!

Not very often anymore that you ever see actual show choir history in the making. What has been a fantasy - even a joke - for years was finally pulled off. Leave it to Kieth Stevens. Now stop the madness!!
