Just a point of clarification: Every participating group has a buffet dinner included as part of the competition package. There are not many places to eat in the area so for the last 6 years or so we've hired a caterer to come in a serve a buffet to those groups. If anyone else wants to purchase the buffet they can.
In addition, this is a union house and they do require a dark stage for an hour before continuing with the competition. I hope that helps some.
I noticed that too when I was typing out the schedule, maybe a conflict came up that wasn't a problem before? Maybe someone on here has some information as to what the situation is.
I also noticed when I was typing out the schedule how it's weird to have a dinner break between the groups and awards without groups performing after dinner. I'm not sure why they wouldn't just have awards right away even with a little wait time for score tabulations and then people could go to dinner afterwards without worrying about getting back in time. That's my personal opinion but hey I guess you can't cheer on an empty stomach

Rumor has it that ALA 'Evolution' will be attending Chicago due to Hollywood getting cancelled.
I got the vibe that ALA was invited to the FAME National Finals which is held in Chicago, not this Chicago qualifier. And this is all pending their fundraising goals.
