Does anyone know who the finalists are (or prelim awards)?

Don't be so quick to jump all over this "new director" issue with WWS… Remember that she has directing experience already at Waubonsie under Mark Myers and she is directing students who know what it takes to compete at the highest level.

Even moreso than that, they still have Dwight who is one of the most respected choreographers in the country. A director shift can still have a huge impact though; there is no question there are many people dying to see what they come up with!

Also, while I think Chatham is a terrific program, after last year all their stars graduated. I think they may be back to where they were around 3 years ago.

I'm extremely curious to see what WW produces this year. If anybody could keep us updated with their opinions on the shows, specifically glenwood, WN and WW, that would be great. Good luck to all groups!

It surprises me to see so many predictions with Wheaton Warrenville winning. I think people are forgetting they have a new director and sometimes that can be a disaster when you take over a show choir with a director like John Burlace before you. It is a tough call since it is their first time competing this year.

Wheaton North will be one to watch this year. This is their second year with their new director who took a show choir no one knew anything about and in one year they won and placed high everywhere they went. I imagine this year they will be even better. And they have Stephen Todd as their choreogrpaher.

Glenwood will be on fire after their incredible year last year. EEE will be amazing as always. It's going to be a good one. Sauk Prairie just won last weekend. Medina will be great as usual. Its anyone's game.

Wish they had a live feed.

Good luck to all the groups!

Last night's wws show was one of their best performances i've ever seen. The new director, in my opinion, stepped it up a notch.

Predictions:

GC: WWS (Vocals, Visuals)
1RU: Glenwood
2RU: EEE
3RU: Wheaton North
4RU: Sauk Prairie
5RU: Sullivan

New season, anything could happen. These are all really great groups! I think WWS can pull off this one even with a new director--it's kind of a rematch from last year between WWS and Glenwood.

Also, I'm thrilled to get to see EEE at Jackson Prep and WWS at Petal when they come down south later in the season :D

It'll be very interesting to see how Wheaton South stacks up at their first competition with a new, very young director. From what I hear Dwight is still working very closely with them. I wouldn't count this group out just yet. I believe it will be between chatham, wheaton south, and wheaton north.

Totally blind predictions:

GC: Glenwood (BC/BV?)
1RU: Wheaton North (BV?)
2RU: Wheaton Warrenville South (BB/BV?)
3RU: Sauk P
4RU: Decatur
5RU: Sullivan

I can see 1-3 and 4-6 possibly switching around a lot after listening to the prelim vocals, but I'd say these are a pretty safe bet. Gonna be a good one for sure!

They do a great job.

Cool. How much are they, and how long would it take for delivery to Florida (or is it all digital)?

Well, if anyone would like to video for the show choir world, I do have a few video requests for finals, assuming all of these groups make it (all because they will compete against my home choir at some point this season):
1. Decatur
2. Wheaton
3. Sullivan
4. Glenwood
