Auburn needs a darker sound to have a shot at them though. Auburn's sound it very bright and sounds like a talented high school choir compared to Clinton's dark, rich sound. I get that Auburn's show has Broadway in it, but in order to get a win over Clinton here, which has not happened in well over a decade, they need a mature sound. Auburn's energy is tough to match, so there is potential to stop a Clinton sweep, which hasn't happened since Wheaton came down in 2011. Large Mixed will be crazy competitive with Auburn, Clinton, Oak Mountain, and, from what I hear, Jackson Prep.
This could be the start of a big rivalry at Homewood. Auburn's show was very good, and they have definite;y separated themselves from the pack, but the real question is can it give clinton a run for their money this year. David Fehr will have his group ready, when hasn't he. And I'm giving Clinton the benefit of the doubt simply due to the fact that that year after year they dominate at very tough competitions. But it will be interesting to see what happens in a few weeks.
