Andrew Jacobson teaches at Lincoln Southwest High School. He started teaching at Southwest High School after student teaching there in Spring 2010. He graduated from Thayer Central High School in Hebron, NE in 2005. At Thayer Central, he was involved with both Band and Choir participating in Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Trumpet Trio, Mens Ensemble, Rhythmaires (Show Choir), Concert Choir and Mixed Octet.
Andrew received his undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelors of Music in Education in 2010. He was also very involved at UNL participating in music ensembles such as Concert Choir, Men’s Chorus, University Singers, Chamber Singers, and Vocal Jazz throughout my college years. Andrew has one sister, Leslie, who is a school counselor, with a beautiful niece (Jolie) and nephew (Chris) and both of Andrew's parents are teachers (Dad is a retired HS science/media teacher and Mom is a 2nd grade teacher) at Thayer Central Community Schools. Andrew still love to spend time outside of school watching sports (football, basketball, volleyball) and writing/arranging music.
