Kirk Schjodt
Kirk Schjodt is currently a graduate student in Choral Conducting at the Glenn Korff School of Music at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where he directs the Big Red Singers and coordinates both the Midwest Cup Show Choir Competition and the Nebraska Show Choir Camp.

Previously, he was the Director of Choral Activities at Washington High School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where he oversaw a department that contained three curricular choirs and six choral ensembles. Under his direction, the WHS concert choir received exclusively superior ratings at Region Music Contest and the WHS show choirs won numerous caption awards for outstanding vocals, choreography, band, male and female soloists, show design, and tech crew, while also winning multiple divisional and overall grand championships. Students under Kirk's direction were annually selected for state, regional, and national ACDA honor choir events.

In 2013, he was the recipient of the SD-ACDA Overture Award given in recognition of excellence in the first five years of teaching. Kirk is in demand as an arranger, adjudicator, and clinician throughout Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, and Minnesota.
