 Emaleigh was born and raised in the small town of Pelahatchie Mississippi. At the age of 5, she was enrolled into ballet and tap classes at Mississippi Metropolitan Ballet under the direction of Jennifer Beasley and Crystal Skelton. From here, she grew and expanded her dance ranges out to jazz, hip hop, lyrical, and pointe as she moved up to the dance company under the same directors Mississippi Metropolitan Dance Academy. Here she got many opportunities to travel with the South East Regional Ballet Association and participate in dance festivals with other companies, as well as take master classes with artists such as Thom Clower and Andrew Brader. In her middle school years she was accepted into Pisgah's award winning show choir "Innergy" along with the school's varsity dance team. She continued with these teams along with her dance training at MMB. This continued until her graduation in May 2020, and she moved onto training at her current college The University of Southern Mississippi. Here she plans to finish with a Bachelor's degree in Dance Performance and Choreography. Emaleigh not only has experience in wide ranges of choreography but also cleaning, show designing, judging, and conditioning for show choirs.
Emaleigh has also been an attendant of Showchoir Camps of America and the Jackson-prep Show Choir Master Camp.
“My goal as a choreographer is to break the stigma of what classic show choir should be. I bring in my knowledge as a dance major into the classrooms to not only expand the students physical dancing but to expand their knowledge and appreciation of where some of my movement may stem from. ANYONE can be a great dancer in my eyes.”
