 Hello! I’m Lexie Griffin, an award-winning choreographer based in southeastern Ohio. I graduated from Texas Christian University in 2016 with a degree from the School of Communication, but in recent years have come to realize that my professional and personal passion is dance, particularly the show choir variety. I’ve been working with showchoirs for the past 11 years, and on an even deeper level for the past four years. My skills and experience are very adaptable, as I can choreograph and/or design full shows as well as help with cleaning and prep for competitions or performances. I am also available for judging competitions and auditions as well as choreographing and blocking for high school and middle school musicals.
Examples of my recent work include the 2018 and 2019 seasons with various showchoirs in the DFW area of Texas as well as in my hometown of Jackson, Mississippi. The groups I work with often take home a number of awards including Best Choreography, Best Overall Effect, and People’s Choice while usually placing in the top five in every competition they enter.
I began my training in my hometown as a founding member of Jackson Prep’s award-winning showchoir, Reveillon. I have also been a counselor at Showchoir Camps of America in Decatur, Illinois, and Tiffin, Ohio, for the past five summers. There, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside and learn from some of the country’s top clinicians and choreographers. I received classical dance training in ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and lyrical from Mississippi Metropolitan Dance Academy for over 12 years. I’ve never stopped performing, learning, or choreographing since. I’d love to work with creativity, energy, and passion on a professional level guiding your acclaimed showchoir!
