I grew up in small town Winfield, WV, and I am so grateful to be an alum of Winfield General Admission Show Choir. Jeff Haught's original shows and direction taught me not only how to sing and dance, but how to convey a powerful message. During the summers in high school, I attended Show Choir Camps of America under the direction of Ly Wilder and April James for four summers. Observing April year after year shaped my own work as a choreographer with a focus on details and lyric-driven movement.
I then went on to study my BFA in Musical Theatre at Ball State University where I graduated Magna Cum Laude in May 2016. During my time there, I developed skills not only in singing, dancing, and acting, but incorporating acting into the choreography I created for ensembles at Ball State, Winfield's show choir, and children's theatre classes. I am so thankful to have already gained professional performance and teaching credits so early in my career including, Ariel in Footloose, DeLee in Smokey Joe's Cafe, and various shows at Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Kings Island. I have also choreographed ages Pre-K through 8th grade at The Legacy Theatre in Atlanta, GA. This fall I choreographed numbers for Winfield General Admission's competition show going on to make finals and place in competitions such as the Fairfield Crystal Classic.
