Although i did miss the cali sunshine, I LOVED SEEING THE SNOW!!!! lol To all of our Indy Peeps, We love you! and hope to see you again!

I've already posted this in the Youtube topic, but since you said something...

Typically our choir has the policy of keeping our set off of Youtube until the final competition has passed(Fame NYC this year), then we only put that version up. So anyone who does have the DVDs from the competitions we've attended, please refrain from posting our group until we do so ourselves. This isn't to be secretive or anything, we would just like to have the most polished performance possible being what represents us, as well as maintain control of our own artistic product. Thank you!

For sure!that makes a lot of sense.well then I cant wait to see your performance from NY.I know it will be super fantaznomical.Best of luck!

I know I may be a bit late for this topic, but what were the ending Festival (small mixed) results? Did Lebanon win?

Roncalli Rebel Rhapsody won the festival mixed. I'm not sure of the other places.

I'm sure the video will be posted to youtube once anyone gets the DVD in the mail..

I'll just say that Something's Coming/eminem number was by far the greatest piece of show choir magic I'd ever heard, and I want to hear it all the time !

Thank you for the compliment. It was very frustrating dealing with the lights, I am sure that it will be fixed before State. I applaud the professionalism that the kids from Plainfield demonstrated during finals. Without a doubt the light problem was at its worst during their peformance, yet they did not let it affect them at all. They did a great job.

It was just one of those things that happen during a live performance. Thanks for the compliment.

I definitely got goosebumps from watching burbank's show from Lawrence Central on YOUTUBE! I can only imagine what it must have felt like to be in that room! Pure excellence just oozes off of that stage! I'll be as bold as to say that I am definitely sure that Burbank is making it's way up to the top of the heap, no matter what region they're in. I can't wait to see how AMAZING they'll be at the Los Alamitos competition here in california where they will compete with Burroughs and Clinton! This is truly a fantastic year for show choir. Burbank, you guys are absolutely amazing....this is probably the best that burbank has ever been. They're truly at the top of their game. Keep it up!!! And btw...your costumes are great :D

Are their any from lawrence? the only ones i found are from the night before at franklin central -__-

I just wanted to say thank you to all of the people i met at the competition. Each person was soooo courteous and i felt like i was at home. to our hosts, thanks soo much for the great night. all the encouragement helped us all feel comfortable and i dont think we could have asked for nicer people to show us around.

To william from Lawrence Central, what you said to us in our homeroom touched my heart. your words inspired me soo much and literally brought me to tears. I cannot think of another time when someone moved me so much.

So i will end this saying congrats to everyone at the competition. everyone impressed me with all the tapping and shiny rinestones and awesome raps. It was truly a treat to visit such a great part of show choir nation. good luck to all of you in the upcoming competitions. I am sure that each and every one of you will dominate!!

ok so. moving AWAY from the topic of Burbank's costumes (stupid burlap sacks...)

does anybody have videos from this comp?

or at least videos of CG/NC/FC 2009 set?

causeeee im pretty darn sure i fell in love with a few songs that night.

the finals dvd can be purchased through KI videos. they're located in kokomo, indiana - they don't have an official website, but their phone number (i think!) is (765) 459-4369.

and congrats to burbank! hope ya'll had a great time in indy, and at the competition! i didn't get to see your show because our performance times were always next to each other, but everyone said your vocals were jaw-dropping, i-think-i-might-fall-out-of-my-seat, redonkulously good! haha, can't wait for the finals dvd to arrive so i can check it out! good luck with the rest of your season! :]

i think everyone is taking the "so cal - the new home of show choir" comment way too harshly. i don't think it was meant at ALL to demean the choirs in indiana or anywhere else, but just to praise the choirs in the west! relax, guys.

and thanks to everyone who congratulated us! we all had such a great time on saturday. huuuge thanks to lawrence central, especially our amazing hosts!!

LC is always a fantastic host. The sound system was the best I have heard this season. The only issue was the mechanical/electrical difficulty with the lights during finals. It was a bit distracting the way some/most of the stage lighting keep going on and off during the performances. I am sure LCPAA will have this worked out before state. Thanks for a great contest LC.

Congratulations to Lawrence Central for hosting the 21st Central Sound Classic. As always, it was a totally professional and well-run competition. Kudos to the LCPAA for all the hardwork to make it a success! Parents rock!

I'm sad that no one mentioned the festival winners

I think that the winners were picked correctly, Burbank had a very artsy show with stunningly clean choreohraphy, they all moved 'in-sync' and it was awesome. center grove had a more exciting show to watch, their guys' number was one of the best and most fun ive seen. i didn't think north central's show should've beat either of these two choirs, their show didn't really jump out at me like the other two did. plainfield, i didn't get a chance to see because i ended up being late to finals.

great competition, i want the video of finals :D

People, people, peoole... allow a little post-contest hyperbole, will ya? There area good choirs everywhere. And as a born and raised Hoosier I'm proud to say Indiana is and always will be the ancestral home of all show choir. I am nevertheless just as proud to say my adopted home is gettin' 'er done!

They most certainly are "gettin' 'er done!" lol.

I think California has the most entertaining groups around. It's really great to see that (as Damon pointed out) Show Choir is still spreading. While other arts programs are dying out, we continue to see new groups every year. Not to mention the incredible leaps a lot of choirs have made in the past 4 years in california.

It is TRUE that i haven't heard much about brea this year... I was simply stating the 4 choirs i know to be consistently top competitors.

I almost put Arcadia on that list and los al .

just saying... there are TONS of choirs in indiana. If you had to go Choirs/population indiana is WAY more dense.

I was just trying to give Scott a hard time bc i'm jealous of him working with burroughs lol
