A little more information from the competition... sorry I only have the top three..

Judges Rankings: (in order from least to greatest, not matching up)

Hastings 1 1 1 1 1 1
LeMars 2 2 2 3 3 3
Westwood 2 2 2 3 3 4

LeMars and Westwood would have been tied, but one judge put Hinton in front of Westwood. If tied, the tie breaker would have come down to vocals, which LeMars would have won.

I only know this for LeMars, but on ballets (140 is a perfect score)
The Highest score was a 132 and the lowest was a 103 (ironically, both judges had us in second place)

What can I say? LeMars loves Hastings
(Hastings on stage celebrating Grand Champions while LeMars holds out on their celebration of First Runner Up to show their appreciation for the wonderful Hastings group by chanting "We Love Hastings" and giving love signs )

A perfect example of class.

And lets be honest- who DOESN'T love Hastings??

I'm in Newsound and we had a really great day.

Unfortunatly I only saw 3 of the finalists [ and us ] in and that was during the day.

So...

LeMars... OMG I love those dresses before the clothes change!!!! Great vocals, but really work on diction for the closer. (I don't know how it was during finals, so I'm sorry if it was better at night.) I sat there thinking "wow, I love the vocals, but I can't understand a word they are saying. I want to know what they are saying, but I just can't." Don't worry, we have the same exact problem on our closer and 2and song. It is a tough problem to fix, and it really didn't help that you were performing in a gym. We really only solved our diction problem this week. It wasn't bad heading into the weekend. We really got the words out during our vocal warm up in the morning. Our director told us to use such crazy and emarasing diction and sing it like we never woulf even think about singing it in a million years. And we actually got the words out in Prelims. Lol.

Thank you SO much for the compliments We LOVE our dresses, too
Our diction was SO much better for the finals. That was one thing we went upstairs and worked on after critique, and we got complimented so much after finals on how good our diction was in finals. I didn't get a chance to see New Sounds show, but my family couldnt believe you were a prep group, so that obviously means you guys were amazing

Westwood... Great show. I love the costumes, good vocals, great balad, good choreogrophy, love the opener. (We did "Lost in the Wilderness" last year. It was intresting to see it done differently. I love the solo on it. I never thought about it last year, and I liked that you used the same arrangement. But on the phrase "And now we're lost in the wilderness" I'd like to see something in your face that says you are actually lost. This song is a lot of acting, so play to it. be kind of angry and pissed in the begining if you are a low voice and happy if you are a high voice. it worked for us, but again, your choreogrophy is way different. I would just play to the mood of each part of the song a little more.) Sorry, I don't remember a lot of other things from your show. You guys were the last group before afternoon awards and I'd already been freeking out about it for atleast half an hour.

Riverside Company! All I can say is WOW!!!! I know you guys are good from Headliner competitions and I just love your show. Keep up the good work.

Wow! I guess I forgot to share what I thought about the competition! I thought this was a well run competition!

Lemars-AMAZING vocal sound!! I really was just taken by your ballad! The energy in the show was strong and I just loved all of your songs. There was this really short stubby guy in on stage left most of the time whom I just couldn't take my eye off of!! Gosh who was he?! He was just an amazing performer!;)

I don't know who that could have been But I bet he was AWESOME at life LOL

OH PS

RON DEMARS (weather man for KTIV channel four news, sioux city) GOT TO WATCH ME GET NAKED.
Okay, not naked, but down to my boxers and sox during costume change hahah
Cuz he was Emcee and standing backstage when I changed haha
WOOOOOO.

Hastings- I didn't hear the name of the Best Male Soloist, but he was fantastic and DEFINATELY deserved that award! You guys were brilliant! I made sure I got to see you twice, I just loved it!

Westwood- I really loved your show! That was another one I made sure to see twice!

Spirit Lake- I have ALWAYS loved Dancing Man, and you guys performed it so wonderfully... I sadly did not get to see you in finals

I only made it to finals last night due to work.

I loved the talent that was shown on the stage last night

Hastings - I saw you guys on youtube, but that does not compare to the live version of you folks. Great job

Le Mars - When I competed against you guys in high school which was 5 years ago they were iffy, but looking at your show last night, it was a complete different group! Good job last night!

Westwood - I loved your show! I always have and I always will.

I also completely agree with the outstanding female performer! You basically owned that stage.
