HMMM truly interesting why such a late change to the overall format for finals. This is unusual in our experience. Wonder why the Championship Division seemed suitable to add a 5th finalist?
Prediction of finalists Championship only:
Piqua
Loveland
Clover Hill Mixed
Grosse Pointe
Olentangy/Capital
Look out for Loveland that is a great show and they are capable of bringing down the house. Even Clover Hill should be looking over their shoulder.
Can't wait to see who actually makes finals. Intrigue, mystery as the Show Choir world turns....

Not sure. I know many of the parents agreed that there should have 5 to begin with. One of the Festival groups dropped out (Whitehall, I believe). I think he didn't add the 5th in the 1st place, just because it made it go that much later in the day. However, seeing it was such a great and close competition maybe he wanted to give everyone a fair chance? There are many wonderful groups coming. Very exciting!

It has been changed to 5 Championship finalist, and 3 Festival. So, there will be a 4RU in the Championship Division now.

Predictions for Finals (No prediction on placement):
Clover Hill High School
Hamilton High School
Loveland High School
Hurricane High School
Capital Hill High School

Again, no certin order or placement. I don't do that because it could offend some groups and could hurt their confidence. These are just groups I've either seen or have a very impresive competition record.

Okay so I've heard since Herbert Hoover dropped out, there are now going to be 5 finalists? Is that true Father Zombie?

I'm super pumped for this competition. Looks like the auditorium will be super packed, there are SO many groups competing! Honestly, what I really can't wait for is Piqua. I saw their show on the live feed from Findlay, and I'm stoked to see it in person! And of course I can't wait to see PR's exhibition. GREAT show this year.

I agree with Mickey, Rhapsody has stepped it up with their performances in Tennessee and Indiana. I think we have a decent shot at finals, even alongside so many other phenomenal choirs. Should be an exciting day!

Our show's set is a pirate ship that spans the whole length of the back risers! We are doing a Pirates vs. Sirens theme.

Awesome show, I have had the pleasure of enjoying it twice so far this season! Go Mickey..... Father Zombie

The finals situation here at Teays is pretty simple and it's comparable to the Crystal Classic which Hamilton competed at last year. So basically with the above schedule, 4 of the Tier I groups will advance on to Tier I finals. 3 of the Tier II groups will advance for Tier II finals. They're separate.

In terms of your projected top 4 Tier I groups, I'm not sure I totally agree. While Hamilton has for sure improved leaps and bounds, I'm sure every other group has also improved a bunch. In general I would probably say:
Clover Hill
Piqua
Loveland
Olentangy
Although I would also consider Capital to be a contender since they are coming off a GC. Grosse Point is also a wild card since they haven't competed in a while. Hamilton is definitely in the mix and they do have a later time slot, but it will need to be an exceptional performance against exceptional choirs.

And shipwrecked? So... sea theme? Care to share?
