Only a few more hours to go before we find out the results of the much-awaited battle between Homewood, Twinsburg, Burbank, John Burroughs, and Wheaton-Warrenville!!!
Xtravaganza has three competitive days total. And yeah they call themselves "the largest show choir competition in the nation," but seeing as that stretches over three days it's less impressive, in my opinion in terms of operations, compared to the Fairfield Crystal Classic which had 39 show choir performances and Lincoln Southwest Showdown which had 36 show choir performances. And both of those were in only one day.
Yea I came back from school to see my little sis and ATSC perform at lincoln southwest. My dad had a client whos kid went at 8am.....we went. And we finally got home at like 145am. Definately one of my longer days.
Congrats to OOTB. Speaking of Burbank, does anyone know whether "Sound Dogs" or "Sapphire" are competing this season? Neither of those Burbank show choirs competed at Hart or here at Los Al.
1st - Out of the Blue (Burbank) Showmanship
2nd - Sound Waves (Burroughs) Musicianship
3rd - High Voltage (Cypress)
4th - Hart N Soul (Hart)
5th - Center Stage (Eastlake)
6th - Production Choir (Los Altos)
7th - Encore (Pacifica)
Congrats to all groups, can't wait for tonight's Advanced Mixed groups

the largest show choir competition in the nation, in the smallest venue. Still a great comp don't get me wrong but just which every year wasn't such a battle for seats is all. Can't wait to get me one of those avocado bacon cheese burgers at Volcano burger too.
50 groups between the two days!? wow that is a lot.
