4th in prep was Western Dubuque.

Such a fun day of show choir!

First time seeing Glenwood and i was not disappointed! SOOOOO good, they were impeccably clean. They really stepped it up during the day. My only issue was I missed that vocal "moment" from them. Good vocals, but nothing that really stuck out to me.

I just love Kennedy's closer this year... a ton of fun! And congrats to Josh for winning Solo competition!

And Momentum's band just ROCKED it this weekend.

It was a great competition today! I got to see almost everyone in day round and I was just really impressed with all the groups there! Great job everyone!

Predictions!

GC. Cedar Rapids Kennedy (Sweep)
1RU. Glenwood
2RU. Cedar Rapids Washington
3RU. Mayville
4RU. Cedar Rapids Kennedy Protege
5RU. Gretna

The big question mark for this competition, for me, is where Protege will finish. I obviously haven't seen them this year, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them as high as 3RU or as low as 5RU -- possibly not even making finals if one of the other groups step up. Gretna has really, really taken a huge step back the past couple years after a run of high finishes. Good luck to everyone!
