Prediction: Los Alamitos girls will win their division hands down.
You think? I mean, I can definitely see Sound Trax taking first place, especially considering their win over JB Sound Sensations and their sweep at the JB Music Showcase. That's definitely impressive since Burroughs' girls are spectacular every year. However, Brea Spellbound is very talented as well. Spellbound is also undefeated on the year including a victory over Sound Trax at the Hollywood qualifier. Sure, both groups have improved and changed a lot since the beginning of March, but still. I'm just hesitant to say any group will win "hands down" with the strong and diverse caliber of single-gender choirs. But who knows, Los Al is legit.
MT Zion LF goes at 9am Friday morning- and MT Zion Swingsations goes at 9pm on Friday! I guess everyone else is in between! LOL Good Luck to all competing show choirs and individual performances! Looking forward to seeing each of you rock that stage! Love you buddy! Do what you do best Christian!
Again just as a friendly reminder in order to avoid confusion, there aren't "finals" on Saturday. It's just a single-performance and then awards. Similar to how competitions are run on the West Coast, I suppose. Anyways, I definitely agree with your placements - they are exactly the same as mine I believe!

I totally respect the amount of time you spent on this haha, very neat thanks for posting. I just wonder if you took the records from the SCC database? If so, several event pages haven't actually been updated so some of these choirs' records aren't necessarily an accurate reflection of their performance this season. (For example, FFE has three competitions missing from their 2012 award record: Ada, Bishop Luers, and FAME Orlando #2) Nonetheless, not your fault. I just wanted to point that out!
Yes yes I realize that. Unfortunately there is no way I could possibly include all of that information that isn't listed, so I just used what were officially posted as events on here. That's why I always include that ** section. Oh well. It's all for fun anyway. :D
To my knowledge, a schedule hasn't been posted on here, the facebook page, or on FAME's website. The only bit of information regarding the schedule is what FAME posted on page 1:
QUOTE (Fame @ Feb 22 2012, 06:37 PM)
Show Choir National Finals Format and Performance Order: Fridays semi-finals round will feature all National Finalists in a non-adjudicated/comments only performance round. There will be 3 performance sessions. All 3rd place qualifiers will perform in Session 3, all 2nd place qualifiers will perform in session 2, and all 1st place qualifiers will perform in session 1. Within each session, a random draw will determine performance order.
Perhaps a director/student from a participating school could enlighten us all with the actual Friday schedule?

Brea Olinda Masquerade
Mt. Zion Swingsations
Hastings/Edgewood

Haven't seen Los Al's show, and I am not counting them out at all, but I have seen WWS multiple times in person over the years and they are remarkable and of course reigning champs, So As for right now I give them the edge, with Los Al a close second followed by MT. Zion, which is also a toss up, I have not seen them in person this year.
FAME should seed the choirs like NCAA basketball championships....
All the groups that won first at a regional should be performing together in the last time slots; the second place finishers together, and so forth.
That is what I thought when I first saw that it was a random drawing.
okay, nevermind. it stats with Mt Zion.. my bad.. ha
5:30 - 6:30 PM - DINNER BREAK
6:30 PM - Mt Zion Swingsations
7:00 PM - South Jones Company
7:30 PM - Findlay First Edition
8:00 PM - Daniel Hand VIBE
8:30 PM - Eisenhower Elite Energy
6:00- South Jones "Company"
7:30- Findlay "First Edition"
8:00- Daniel Hand "Vibe"
8:30- Eisenhower "Elite Energy"
These four groups will perform an hour later that the times shown because of a supper break. So South Jons "Company" will Start at 7:00, I do believe. That's what our director told us. so I could be wrong. hahaha
I don't even know! I agree that GC and 1RU will be between WWS and Los Al, but that 2RU spot can easily belong to a number of groups. I'm chosing Hastings because I saw their show at Viterbo and LOVED it! I know they have also improved a lot this year. Good luck to all the groups 10th Street Edition showing love from Iowa! Wish we had the money to go to such an amazing competition

FAME is using that seeding format for the Friday “sound check” and critique performances, but chose to do a random drawing for the actual competition on Saturday, as you’re probably well aware.
I get what you’re saying, it would be interesting and give more meaning to those placements at the regional competitions if they did seeded finals, but at the same time not all of the regional competitions are created equal. I do think it would be interesting, but I think the random drawing is probably the most fair…although definitely frustrating at times.
