I want to know how they were judged... Because I would have placed them in a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT order.

Thanks Giovanni! It's going to take some time to research those schools, but I will get this entered eventually!

No problem! Yeah, haha these schools are confusing, got all these different type of schools rather than just calling them Something High School. xD

"despicably evil!?!" And it's 99% of what they do??? Wow!! I had no idea. What exactly are they doing? Please be specific so we can know!!

Whoops!! I totally mis-skimmed the article. I thought it was talking about the (quite despicable) National Education Association, not the relatively benign National Endowment for the Arts. My bad

Referring to the link about the GOP slashing NEA funding, and how horrible that would be because of the arts programs that might be affected: 99% of what the NEA does is despicably evil, the other 1% can be separated out.

I got an email from this competition today after my inquiry about DVDs and they will NOT be selling DVDs due to copyright issues.

Found a news story on one of the choirs that's going and thought I'd share.

I just think this is so fascinating... watching the birth of a whole new show choir circuit at its very beginnings. Some things are much smaller in scale, obviously, but some of it is the very same thing we all do day in and day out... crowd around a piano and learn music together. It's really exciting to me to see show choir spreading and empowering students in new places like never before.

Nope, it's completely Canadian-only. We'll have the list up shortly, but there are 10 groups competing on Friday with finals on Saturday (look what you guys have done).

From what I understand, a couple of the Canadian groups have actually competed down in some midwest competitions before, but there isn't really a circuit up there (yet) so I doubt any American groups have competed up there.

I'm honestly really interested in this... it's too bad Finale is on the same day. I hope that some of the groups up there get inspired and start doing it more seriously. Right now, most of the groups are smaller and I would assume a little more scaled down in approach. What would be cool is if they invited a really kick butt group from America to be in exhibition each year to show them where they can take it.
