This was my 3rd and final time at Chicagoland. i had a blast. the lights shows were amazing! Im jealous of what i can only imagaine school dances are like!

I didnt see many groups in finals, but from what i could tell everyone did a great job.

Also, I personally want to thank WWS for waiting until their name was called as Grand Champs before they freaked out, and giving BG a chance to celebrate 1RU. It shows respect. Keep up the good work.

Buffalo Grove, wow! your ballad this year is amazing and i love the final pose to the 2nd number

Don"t misunderstand me, I'm really looking forward to the competition today. This will be the 5th year in a row I've attended. There just seems to be so little buzz about the comp and they put on such a nice event at Hersey. Nice room, nice stage, nice lighting and sound, nice solo room, etc. I hope supporters of the local schools really show up in force. They all travel out of town so much that this comp is really a great opportunity for the communities to see what terrifficly talented kids reside in the district. As you say, with WWS, BG and MP all attending, anthing bything can happen with the judgung and we'll still be in for a real musical treat.

Well, it should still be a good comp... the five varsity division groups that are going are pretty darn talented.
My predictions are:
GC: WWS
1RU: Buffalo Grove
2RU: Prospect
3RU: Fort Atkinson
4RU: Milton
5RU: Wheaton North or Esprit

What's happened to this year's Showcase? It's really been a good competition in the past with a lot of top groups attending and with several from (way) out of state?
