Lone Star Invitational is the biggest show choir in the Southwest.! (Props to Indiana for staging an event with 40+ groups)

Sun is shining, it’s a great day for show choir in Texas! The intermediate schools that were scheduled for Thursday will perform on Friday. Not sure on exact time, just that they will go first. The rest of the schedule may get pushed back, don’t think the order will change.

Lone Star Invitational is not just the biggest show choir competition in Texas, it’s the biggest in the country. I don’t see any other events that have 35 groups competing over 3 days.

While obviously this competition is very impressive, I would like to point out that Homestead (IN) hosted 45 groups in two days this year.

Well you're in luck - that's why showchoir.com was created!

Los Al had a staggering 59 show choirs attend over three days in 2019:

https://www.showchoir.com/events/event.php?id=3520&date=20190316

Obviously 2020 and 2021 were cancelled due to the pandemic, but I think they hold the record in the modern era. There is actually a recent thread in the forums where people have been discussing this very topic here:

https://www.showchoir.com/forums/topic.php?id=26229

None of this is to discount the Lone Star Invitational or what you do - 35 groups is nothing to sneeze at! I'm just a data nerd and I love using the depth and reach of this website to get answers for questions just like yours. Have a tremendous event this weekend!
