Oh and CHRIS! I put your name in caps so you would read this. Lol. I was reminded earlier in this thread about the whole changing to alum status thing. Lol. Funny story: I haven't... Do you think you could help? Or any one of you scc crew peeps. That would be much appreciated. Thank you.

They sacrifice a yorkie before each competition to improve their vocals. Don't know how it works, but it obviously works. Helps the choreo too. This is not sarcasm, I heard it from three different people.

HAHAAAAHAAHAHAHHAAAAAHH!!!! This is my favorite comment. Ever. On any site. Lol

Thank you so much!
Our ballad is actually from Ragtime, but they can be easily mixed up.I know there is a lot of opinions being stated, both negative and positive, from our competition but I really hope everyone had a lot of fun yesterday and a positive experience (:

Sorry I poorly phrased my last comment. I knew the ballad wasn't guys and dolls. I was talking about the other parts of your show that were from guys and dolls lol. The ballad was absolutely fantastic!

I think the caliber of the groups that attended Spectacular 2011 is ridiculously high and each choir is at the point where on any given day they could be competitive and result in varying placements--however--it just so happens that on March 5th, with these judges (all of whom are well-respected and knowledgeable in their fields) and the conditions present that things turned out the way they did. Maybe if these same choirs competed elsewhere earlier or later in the season with other conditions and circumstances, results could be way different.

The only thing I regret is not being able to go. This would have been a non-stop awesome day of great show choir, and there's nothing better than watching the cream of the crop square off. Congratulations to all choirs, band members, crew members, parents, hosts, judges and spectators for another successful invitational.

LIKE x 1 Million!!!

I would totally watch these choirs compete again and again. (Plus Totino competing too )

I am an Alum of Totino-Grace Company of Singers and I have read some of the posts on this thread and I have to say I am quite disappointed. I was unable to attend my own show choir's competition for the first time in 8 years this year and I am sad to hear that politics of competitiveness have turned it into this.

I do not appreciate the way some posts on here have pulled into question the legitimacy of Totino's competition. T-G has always run Spectacular with the utmost professionalism and I find some comments on here disrespectful to the host school and their directors, volunteers and families who work so hard to make this event possible. I would hope that ANY show choir member, parent, or director attending ANY competition would show more consideration for their hosts.

I do not wish to point fingers or start a feud, I just want to make anyone who reads this aware of their own implications and how it reflects on the dignity of my alma mater. Thank you.

you may say i'm a dreamer, but i'm not the only one. i hope some day you'll join us, and scc will be as one.

anyways, my favorite number of the day was RIG's 'i want you back' or mitchell's entire show. or clinton's entire show. and the trophies were heavy too. i held poco's. (TWSS)

Hahaha Dylan YES those trophies were the greatest ever!
My favorite number of the day would probably be Clinton's ballad as well. It was truly beautiful! It really just touched me more than any other song that day!

Kumbaya my Lord, kumbaya

IF I COULD LIKE YOUR POST TIMES A MILLION, I WOULD. FINALLY SOMEONE ELSE COMMENTED ON THE TROPHIES. THANK YOU.

And Clinton's ballad was no doubt breathtaking. It gave me goosebumps.

Fine. FC Singers are great. Sure. Whatever. It isn't relevant to this topic, so, like Mr. Temple was saying, lets get over it, move on, and get back to talking about THE TOTINO GRACE SPECTACULAR.

Which was Spectacular.

Did I mention how big the trophies were? Cuz they were huge. The Grand Champion trophy was almost as tall as I am, and I'm 6'3".

I feel as if I've said this before?...

What was your favorite number you saw all day? I know it will be really hard to choose. I'm personally really a fan of Clinton's ballad. That was for sure the best thing I saw or heard all day.

Clintons ballad was just beautiful. I could close my eyes and listen all day... how do they sing so great when they have such thick accents!?
