Could someone tell me how to get a hold of a video from finals? I didn't get one that night and I should have.

Thanks,
Derek

I'd ask Mr. Weber on facebook, Derek. I looked in the program and it doesn't give any information.

We (ATSC) had four 1st places, one 2nd place, and two 4th places.

Jefferson had (I believe) four 2nd places, two 1st places, and one 5th place. I'm pretty sure I'm right about the 2nd and 1st places but I'll try to check again. But I know I saw the 5th place.

ATSC - 1 1 1 1 2 4 4
CRJ - 1 1 1 2 2 2 5
Ralston - 2 2 2 ? ? ? ? ? (ended getting up 3RU)

Yeah thats crazy. I am very curious to see what Innovations scores were. Any Johnston people that could help us out?

Dang Austin! Haha. Well I'm glad you fought through the pain. Your show would have been different without seeing you up there!

This just seems to be an unlucky competition!! Haha

We were supposed to come to East in 2003 (my freshman year) but a blizzard made it impossible for us to go. So yes, very unlucky... :-/

only true performers can hurt themselves and keep on going. thats what sets show choir and sports apart lmao

I don't know Alex, our collision was pretty hard to move on from hahaha.

AustinH, way to go, we had a girl in Synergy, she has a hairline fracture on her ankle, so she only went on for the ballad in daytime, but when we got the surprise news we would be in Finals (Sorry Synergy messed up the Finals schedule..haha) she took of her boot and put on heels and danced the entire show through her tears!! We were proud of her! I popped my knee out of the socket during the Finals performance here, but a broken toe would be so worse!! I'm shuddering thinking about that! This just seems to be an unlucky competition!! Haha

Oh my... Conversion of Saul... I sang that my junior year. What a DIFFICULT song.

our Chamber Choir sang it my sophomore year and I adored it. It's such a powerful, powerful piece. And when a great choir such as Jefferson's does a great song such as that in a great way... there aren't words to describe it.
Haha maybe I'm a little too passionate about certain pieces...

Jefferson "Meistersingers", you were the only concert choir I watched all day, but it was worth it! "Conversion of Saul" is one of my favorites, and you did it soooo well!

And like someone very smart I know always says, who gets best vocals should win.

I'm glad you finally recognize this

This post is soooo soooo very late, I know. I typed it up yesterday but I forgot to save and SCC kicked me off.
I unfortunately missed SuFu Washington, Ralston, and Millard West in prelims because of Chamber's performance and critique. I'm glad I at least got to see two of you in finals!

Millard West, this was my third time seeing your show, but it didn't get old. Your opening costumes (the robes and masks) freak me out. Like an irrational but legitimate fear. Every time. And I love it. I could understand the words to "Fast" this time! That made me really happy. I sat next to one of your dads for most of the day, he was awesome! And his daughter in Uptown Girls was a great performer!

Innovation, I wrote "OMG VOCALS LOVE" so I'm gonna assume they were amazing haha. I always love "90 Degrees and Freezing", so powerful! Your closer will be stuck in my head for at least another week. So fun.

Synergy, I apologize that I did not pay as much attention to your finals performance as I should have; I spent most of it being confused as to why you were performing haha. I did write that I liked your vocals! Also, "Go the Distance" is one of my favorite show choir songs. I'm glad the mistake was recognized because you had a great finish!

O'Gorman, I always love what your shows. No matter what you do or how well you do it, it ALWAYS puts a smile on my face. Your ballad seemed really... genuine. And the entire second half of your show is adorable. For another year, I love what you do. So much.

Omaha Westside, let me just say congratulations on GC! I loved watching you perform. Obviously I loved watching all the groups perform but there were times during your show that I didn't listen to the vocals or watch the dancing, I just watched you perform. Your faces and energy completely sold the show. I realize that sounds a little creepy. "Y'All Ain't Ready" was one of my favorite songs of the day; it was great.

Ralston, I REALLY wish I could've seen your show more than once this year, because I loved it. Of course, the Justin Bieber reference was HILARIOUS omg. Could not stop laughing for the rest of that song. All of your soloists were fantastic.

CR Jefferson, I had you in first! But that might be because you were my favorite show of the day haha. There's this part in your opener where the men are off the the side and the girls are all on those white boxes in their gold dresses... it's a STUNNING picture. The white and gold just... ahhhh they work so well. And of course with a closer like that, it's no wonder you took BC. Shoutout to the ballad soloist, she was fantastic!

Jefferson "Meistersingers", you were the only concert choir I watched all day, but it was worth it! "Conversion of Saul" is one of my favorites, and you did it soooo well! And "With a Lily In Your Hand"... I mean who doesn't love Whitacre?

Again, I know this post is really late. And despite the fact that the auditorium was ungodly hot, I still had a great day!

I really wanna know where Innovation and Synergy were placed around the ballots. Hearing some of the numbers other groups got, it's hard to believe some of the finishes.
