If I may, this has been the most CONFUSING day of show choir ever. In two situations, the 1st Runner Up got BV and BC. Then Loveland beat FC by vocals in a tie as well!

We actually tied for best vocals and choreo during finals but they used prelims to break the tie

Super happy for Clover Hill - was a bit surprised by the final outcome but happy for them.

I take it Clover Hill won with band scores then?

Just stop. That’s not how Fairfield rolls. Clover Hill was an incredible competitor today.

In no scenario does best vocals and best choreo not win the competition. For the second time

so if the caption awards were given to Fairfield because of prelim scores, shouldn’t that mean they also win the competition? I’m so confused

Both groups tied vocal and Choreo scores so they just used the daytime scores to give out the award basically. The actual results were based off of the evening scores so I’m guessing Clover Hill won because of band/overall show scores

I will say that Clover Hill has the absolute best opener I’ve seen this season! Congratulations to everyone, I can only imagine how intense finals must have been!

GC: Clover Hill
1ru: Fairfield (BV/BC)
2ru Hurricane
3ru: Cabell Midland
4ru: Winfield

Apparently a tie for captions but Fairfield had higher prelims scores.

SG GC: Clover Hill (BC BV)
SG 1RU: Fairfield

Jeez, no wonder it took them so long to announce awards. Two different caption tiebreaks during finals, both tiebreaks going to Fairfield based on prelim scores, and then Fairfield ending up 1RU. Show choir is wild, y'all. What a razor thin margin and very competitive finals round!
