Went to finals and had a great time! I was very impressed with all groups. I imagine the scores were very close. I was having a really hard time with placement predictions (my mom got it right; 10 years of show choir parenting will give you that intuition!)
Shout out to all of the backstage crew from East and the individual choirs for keeping things running on time! One of the hardest parts of finals!

This competition was probably the most cutthroat that I’ve ever seen. It was extremely close. Congrats to all the groups who performed today. To the finalists, each and every show was amazing. You all should be proud of the work you all did this season.

I had the pleasure to host and watch Millard North Intensity, and, I have to say, if you weren’t able to see them this season, you missed out. I’ve never seen a prep group be not only excellent at choreography and vocals, but simultaneously poised and very respectful. This is by far one of the most fun shows I’ve had the pleasure of watching. Both performances were varsity level and they were pulled off by a preparatory group. I can’t wait to see what this group in store for the show choir community in the future!
