Olivia Olinn won best female solo in a show in the mixed tier 2 category. I have no idea about which mixed choir she belongs to unfortunately. If anyone could clarify, that would be great.

What I’m confused about is how fc got a near perfect score last month at pike and here they place 3rd, especially with fishers having not even making finals at the competition before..

When it comes to FCs nearly perfect score, that comes down to judges and venue. When FC beat Zionsville and marysville at pike, all three groups were close to a perfect score where as last weak at Mooresville Zionsvilles scores were much lower as were all of the groups at the competition simply based off of the venue and judges that scored differently. As for fishers, last week Electrum barely missed finals because there was a problem with the sound system for the performance that caused the piano be far louder than anything drowning out the band and the vocals. Issues like these happen all the time and while it is no ones fault it certainly has given a false perception to many people about the quality of electrums show this year. This being said, all of the groups performed amazingly last night and no one should feel disappointed in their performance based on their place

While rankings never work out perfectly no matter the year, I would say that this year in particular there is NO logical way to rank or predict the outcome of competitions. Who is the best in Indiana now? There have been a lot of wild surprises in Iowa and Ohio this year as well.

Group A sweeps Group B, who sweeps Group C, who sweeps Group D, who then goes on to sweep Group A... it has been nonstop. Who knows, maybe the playing field is leveling out more? It's times like this you just gotta focus on the accomplishment of the amazing shows and less on the placement.

Judges scores skewed this result. But such is the life of subjective competition

I cannot speak for Fishers because I have not seen them, but Brownsburg has an incredible show this year and it is insanely clean and their vocals gave me shivers. I can see how they could beat FC although FC is also very good! I love all 3 groups and I think every comp may be different to what people are expecting because each choir has a different performance at each comp and there are different judges with different preferences. Congrats to everyone!!

So what happened to Franklin Central? Fisher’s missed finals altogether the week before.

There was a problem with the sound system for Electrum last week at Mooresville which made the piano way to loud that you couldn’t hear the vocals at all, so the judges couldn’t score the vocals well which caused Fishers the miss finals.

Tier One Mixed Predictions
GC: Franklin Central- They continue to get every award everywhere they go the only group to top them was Loveland and that was Franklin Centrals first comp this season with so many members they are a true vocal powerhouse and get best choreography at every comp... those two combined is pretty unstoppable

1RU: Brownsburg- How can you not be excited to see this show... even though we have seen a outer space theme before with Los Alamitos in 2016 this show is much different then that one they have gotten 2nd at both there comps to Center Grove and I expect them to give Franklin Central a run for it

2RU: Lawrence North.

3RU: Fishers-After starting off the season strong with a really cool theme and very active non stop entertaining show they didn't make finals last week but I expect them to bounce back this week

Single-Gender Tier One Predictions

GC: Brownsburg-You beat Center Grove back to back weeks you have my attention they will continue with there Grand Champ run

1RU: Franklin Central- They didn't have the toughest of competition as Ben Davis but did come out as Grand Champ with some harder competition this week they will come up just short of Brownsburg

2RU:Fishers- Jail Break... I love this show so much and the acting on stage is amazing and great song choices

3RU:Lawrence North-WE GOING RIDING ON THE FREEWAY

4RU:Danville ¨Contemporaries¨- The soloist central shows are not my personal favorite but I am excited to see this group and there boys group

I agree with most of your predictions for the mixed division. For the single-gender division I do have to say that Fishers Sound has killed it this season, and I think they are going to give Brownsburg a run for their money. If you look at Franklin Central's past couple comps, they lost to Zionsville Choralaires, and Fishers Sound actually beat them vocally last week. I think the top 3 is going to be very close, and I'm very excited to see all three of these groups perform on Saturday!
