After going to Pike and keeping up to date with competitions outside of Indiana, here are my predictions for tonight:

GC: Zionsville
1st:Crete Monee
2nd:Ben Davis
3rd: Mt. Zion
4th: Carrol

Vocals: Zionsville
Choreo: Crete Monee

This to me will be one of the best competitions of the year. I actually have a hard time leaving Lafyette Jeff. and Pike out of finals, and I think making finals at this competition will be an accomplishment in itself.

I don't like BD's show as much as I did last year, but they still will be formidable. I don't see them winning, but finals should be expected. I saw Mt. Zion earlier at Southmont this year, and I expect them to make finals as well. Their choreography and usually powerful ballad should be enough for them to make a run in the night show. I have got to say Crete Monee and Zionsville are my wild cards. I have only seen Zionsville once and it was two years ago when they were not as good as they were this year. I am basically ranking based off Center Grove and Sullivan which both choirs won. I would not count out Carrol either, seeing as last year how I had never heard of them. They won las year, and I just don't see them not making finals given their success last year.

I love Pike's ballad but I think the other groups are just overall a bit stronger. Last year after watching the night show, I picked Lafyette Jeff, to win. They Placed 4th RU. Maybe this year I say that won't make finals and they end up winning the whole thing. Who Knows?

Overall it should be a great competition. As soon as someone knows finals Please post!

Ben Davis didn't impress me either; the stomping was overkill and the set additions in the closer were a distraction and did not add anything to the show. Personal opinion! Good luck

I completely agree.

The "Steppin" was completely pointless, and in my opinion, sloppy considering it's a really simple step.

Not every choir can be North Central, and I really hate to see choirs that can really perform, resorting to gimmicks like this. Maybe spend the time on vocals instead?

BTW I like that i got a -3 on that above post. lol. I guess no one is allowed to dislike BD?

Anyone know who the judges are?

I really HOPE to see carroll in finals. I've always enjoyed their shows, and they've always sang beautifully.

The only reason I didn't put them in my predictions was due to this year's placements.

I hope you guys relize that Carroll is doing better than we were last year. We are just as good as any other group. I'm not trying to say that we are better, I'm just saying that we can match up with other show choirs!!!

I don't think anyone here is saying that you guys can't match up. If you are going off of people's predictions remember these people aren't judges. They possibly won't even be there, probably haven't seen all the shows yet, and so you shouldn't worry about what kids think. People blow other people's random predictions WAY out of proportion on here. Just go out and kick some butt and prove people wrong. Don't bother getting upset by what some random people think.

This is gonna be a tough one. Multiple GC-caliber groups are not going to make finals.

Random predictions:

GC: Lafayette Jefferson
1RU: Ben Davis
2RU: Zionsville
3RU: Mt. Zion
4RU: Crete-Monee

BV: Lafayette Jefferson
BC: Mt. Zion

Pike and Carroll have really nice time slots, especially compared to Zionsville and Crete, and are both going to be fighting hard for finals. Even groups like Avon have been doing better this year than ever before. This is going to be a TOUGH one. Wish I could go!

i rooting for Crete Monn Cavs all the way!!!!!! They are having a great year!!

I just wanna say I wouldn't completely count Carroll out this year. Everybody remember when "the earth tipped off it's axis" when Carroll won last year? Things haven't changed this year, they are just as amazing. I'm not trying to be biased or anything, considering I haven't seen most of these choir's shows this year. I'm just saying, don't quite count them out

Can anyone confirm that Ben Davis is actually going to this competition? They are also down for competing at Mooresville the same day. Is one of the dates wrong or is BD only attending one of these or are they actually competing in both?

Having seen Ben Davis without being too impressed, and considering Zionsville did take Vocals from LC (who handled BD quite easily at Pike), I have trouble understanding your predictions. Are you just considering the time slots?

Crete Monee swept captions from MTZ last week, and Lafayette Jeff has had a down decade. I hope that new direction will return the program to it's former glory, but I don't see them doing well at this competition, and may not make finals.
I'm definitely going though, and my house is a block away, so WIFI. Will keep posting throughout the day.

And I said my predictions were random. AND they are my opinions. I have seen Mt. Zion live and their choreo is great. They win choreography in Indiana almost every time they compete there. Maybe Crete had a once in a lifetime performance last week, and maybe Mt. Zion will have theirs this week. You never know. This is gonna be a close competition and this is how my brain thinks it can happen. And I always consider the time slots when making a prediction. The schedule is ALWAYS a factor at a competition. Also, Lafayette Jefferson competed WELL last year. And if they haven't competed anywhere this year, how can you know how they will do?

Can results not differ from week to week? Can groups not improve since the last time you saw them? I said these predictions were random. Make your own predictions and stick to them. Don't blast me for mine...
