Yay for the 3.5 hour trip here! I think we made the best decision. I am guessing this competition is gonna be SO MUCH FUN!

I am very excited to come to this competition. The more Jay and I talk about it the better i know it will be!

Just a general observation from this year.... the competitions around the midwest this year and stacked, week in and week out. Its very nice to see!

Quite a few groups i've never seen before, and a few that its been a few years since i have seen! Guess who will be leaving from Cedar Rapids, IA at 5 AM ... THESE GUYS

good luck to all the groups, its going to be amazing!

Washington's performance at Muscatine's competition was amazing. I had heard they hadn't done so hot at Linn Mar, but there was no trace of that when I saw it the next week. First competitions don't always pan out for some groups- I think Washington is going to turn a lot of heads here.

Oh definitely. Super agree. This really mixes everything up IMO. Really who knows who will make finals? Everyone is going to have to perform at their top level in both rounds.
