I remember last summer I was in California and while we were driving through Burbank I got all excited because I might get to see Burbank High School, and to my surprise, I saw Burbank, and John Burroughs haha. Is it sad that I got that excited just seeing the schools?

To add on to what Adam said: both Burroughs and Burbank high schools are in the city of Burbank (they're actually less than 2 miles apart), and often times news stories will say things like "this high school from Burbank, CA..." so confusion between the two is not an uncommon thing.

Has anyone heard any rumors about Burbank not attending? There was some discussion this weekend about them passing on Fairfield to be able to go to an event somewhere like Japan.

No offense to the Crystal Classic or Fairfield, but let's face it if that was a decision I think I know which one I would choose.

I think you are confusing Burbank with John Burrough's and their trip to Hong Kong.

I'm not really even going to guess finalist spots.. maybe I'll give my thoughts on shows later, but I've only seen half of the groups I think can make finals, so I wouldn't have an insight to give.. I do know that Saturday will be amazing though!!

Hurricane beat Colerain though earlier in the season as well. There are so many fantastic groups going this weekend! Can't wait to hear results.

I think it's too hard to make actual predictions but i think finalists will include

Alphabetically:
Burbank
Colerain
Findlay
Hurricane
Marysville
Olentangy

As a spectator at this competition I have to say I absolutely can not wait to see all these amazing choirs!!!! It is going to be intense competition especially since most of the groups have competed against each other before... My advice to all choirs, you had better be on your a-game for this one because there are about 8 choirs who could make finals and only 6 spots... Can not wait for this one!!!! 

I'm going to have to go with:

GC: Burbank
1st runner-up: Findlay
2nd runner-up: Marysville
3rd runner-up: Medina
4th runner-up: Colerain
5th runner-up: Hurricane

I put Hurricane last because Colerain just beat them this past weekend, and I also think that Olentangy could be a potential finalist. I'm looking forward to this competition and to see how everyone does. Good luck to all competing choirs!

If you are going to base it off results don't forget that Olentangy beat Marysville this past weekend

personal opinion, Colerain is just as strong this year as they were last year, and i like the song selection better. LOVE "annie are you ok"

Alright I'll take a second stab at predictions. This competition season has been interesting to say the least so this competition will be just as interesting

GC Burbank
1st rup Findlay
2nd rup Marysville/Hurricane
3rd rup Hurricane/Marysville
4th rup Olentangy
5th rup Medina

Colerain might slip in but I have not seen their show this year so I can't really put them into my finals predictions.
Less then 6 days!! Good luck to all competing choirs on Saturday!!!

Agree with these.
Except I'm confident Marysville will be 2nd runner up. They were AMAZING at Piqua, however so was Hurricane, so we shall see.

Has anyone seen Colerain so far this year? Last year I definitely would have put them up in the finals, but haven't seen/heard anything about them this year.

Of 44 girls in Pure Elegance, 10 are also in Choraliers. Pure Elegance is extra-curricular and Choraliers is co-curricular in Fairfield.

Looks to be a great competition Saturday. Most of these groups have won Grand Champion at least once this year! Good luck to all!

Yes, some girls in Pure Elegance are also in Choraliers.

I've never thought that was a very fair idea, unless it's a small school and there aren't enough girls in the choir program to make a Single-Gender group. I mean, I'd be really sad if I didn't get into the girls group at all and other girls got to be in two choirs.
But that's usually not the case?
