I can't begin to tell you how amazingly thankful I am to everyone who attended our competition! The day was phenomenal and a huge success! I was blessed to meet many parents and students from every school and was just continually blown away with the comments and compliments received. I also got to see so many familiar faces- what a joy it was to be in a building with so many friends! My job was by far the easiest of the entire day- getting to stand on a stage and have fun with kids and parents.

The performances I saw in finals were very fierce! I was very impressed. Props to every group!

All I have to say is look at results from both rounds last night.

This was such a great competition. I had an absolute blast. Alex Hall is the best critique judge I have EVER seen (and I've been to a few ). He gave such creative, detailed critiques with suggestions that directors can actually implement in their shows in a short amount of time. Very well done!

Xavier's closer rocked the house in finals. The guitars were going crazy. I would love to hear some more horns in the show (that's just my personal style though). we heard a LOT of guitars, and I'm sure there were horns somewhere after the first song.

Des Moines Lincoln was surprising to me. I thought they sang QUITE well. Wasn't a huge fan of the show, but the choreography was mostly clean, and the sound was pretty resonant.

IC High's band rocked finals. The volume of the band added so much excitement to the show in finals. It was also lovely sitting next to Ann in day round

I did not get to see Gretna or Muscatine Sad.

Xavier had a 28.5 lead over wash. That's the only one I know for sure. I believe we had a 50 ish point lead on City High, but don't quote me on that.

I think Xavier had a 30-some lead on City High in Prelims but finals I don't know.

You shouldn't spread heresay. If you didn't see Wash you shouldn't comment. Have your predictions, that's fine. Totally your own opinion and no one can fault you for that. But don't openly call out one single group, especially if you haven't seen the show this year. I haven't met one person that said Momentum was bad at Linn-Mar. It was a TOUGH competition with lots of good groups, and two groups that usually make finals couldn't. You should focus on improving your show rather than spreading rumors about a group you haven't seen.

I don't remember exact points or anything but they converted points into rankings anyway.

Xavier had placings of 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2
Washington had placings of 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3
IC High had a 2, and then idk exactly what else.

Anybody know whether Rockridge, IL's Double Edge Harmony showed up here or at Davenport North? They were scheduled for both events...

They were at Muscatine. They were the first group to perform.
