WOW, I have really begun to enjoy seeing the posts on this site both pre and post event. Everyone is very respectful and insightful regarding the world of show choir.

I was unable to be present this weekend and therefore only got verbal reports from the scene from family who were able to attend. They were impressed with the venue, the quality of the choirs, the organization of the show and everything down to the food.

It seems as though Colerain was a surprise to some here on this forum. I find that a little shocking if you take a moment to check out their record for this year. It has actually been pretty impressive.

They now have (3) GC, (2) First Runner Up, [to Bishop Luers and Findlay] (1) Second Runner Up and only one "No Placement" which was not bad in a competition that was second to none anywhere in the country. This season also includes each of the soloists recieving outstanding solo in Male or Female for the competion, some of those multiple times. They have won best band, vocals and choreo and crew multiple times.

Seems like a record such as this would not be such a surprise.

I didn't see this coming...I saw Colerain earlier on in the season but I didn't think they had the power to sweep over Plainfield...They must have really stepped it up big time Great Job!!

you were sooo right about colerain getting gc only a little bit ahead of plainfield. norwell being really close behind for third. norwell completely took over the varsity division, it was nuts. they did really good in finals, and it was cool to see them get to go against the "big dogs" this weekend.

:D thanks a lot! You guys did a good job too, both mixed and girls, i immensely enjoyed your mixed show, and i saw your girls show at our invitational and your show was cool too! Great job Colerain, didn't get a chance to see your show because of sceduling but i heard parts of it and it sounded great!

Great job to everyone else who came, i enjoyed competing with you all :D See you next competition season

I'm gonna say Colerain takes the GC in this one. Granted I have no knowledge how any of these groups are doing this year. I'll say Colerain on top with Plainfield a very close second. The other three mixed groups I have no idea.
As for the varsity that makes finals I'll go with South Dearborn, and I have no idea where they'll place in finals

Well, from what I have heard only the GC of small mixed makes it into finals regardless of scores

I think that South Dearborn and Norwell mixed are both still undefeated in small mixed so that should be fun

As for the others I would say
Plainfield and Colerain for GC definitely

Tobe GC and 1RU? South Dearborn was really good...but beating Plainfield and some oter groups on there? Ummm...

I'd say Plainfield has a really good shot at winning here, very good vocals, they'll be tough to beat

I would say both Norwell Mixed and Girls will do fairly well in this competition...although, I have no idea whose judging.

I am just wondering why this event isn't listed on the events page. I don't see it on the calendar anywhere!
