Does anyone know what the score is out of? 1200 or something else?

CalvinSwaney on Mar 27, 2019, 9:19 AM

I would assume 1240, 5 judges scoring out of ten for each category(11 for vocals, 10 for choreo, 3 music production) that comes to 1200, but 40 for band, don't quote me on that but I assume 1240

Anybody got prep/Single-Gender results? Women’s especially looked to be really deep.

Bumping this in light of the fact that they only announced top two in each division.

Does anyone have the full prelims point spread? Would love to know just how close this was considering many of these groups will compete against each other again later in the season.

Also worth noting - ATSC had a time penalty in prelims.

According to a judge Power Company was deducted points because of time penalty and would have made finals if that hasn’t happened.

Unfortunate for PoCo...

On the other hand good luck to the other teams in finals!

Time penalty was 10 seconds over time and it pushed them from 5th to 7th. Must be a close one!

After watching prelims, I could guess the "top" 3 finalists, atsc, hastings, bemidji, but I couldn't decide who else. Lots of really excellent performances today. I suspect that Riverside will get best vocals, and atsc will get best choreo, but thats as much as I will predict.

Ah that makes sense. My daughter and I loved Power Company and thought they had a shot as GC. We were disappointed when they did not make finals!
