It was Anthony Cao’s first ever time judging? not questioning his authenticity just wondering if it was his first ever time.

I’m sorry, but I hope no one ever uses my siblings accomplishments to justify hiring me. I’m sure he has plenty of merit on his own without bringing in his brother...

You don’t have to be sorry, I chose a bad way to word it. It probably would have been better to say that he was a show choir grad himself... my goal was to point out that he knows what a good performance looks like and I guess I failed a t doing that.

I guess I’m a little confused? Cao’s judging isn’t that far off from evryone else’s except for the best choreo. I watched all of finals and don’t think it’s far off at all...

I think he was just genuinely curious. I don't think he was implying anything with his comment.

I guess I just took it a bit too proactively, that’s on me.

Very curious for any points/scores anyone know prelims and finals. Because placements switched so much I’m very confused.

Some groups had time penalties during the day causing them to have a lower placement going into finals, where if they didn’t have the deduction they would have had a higher daytime rank.

Correct! I’m still just curious how close it would’ve been regardless of those time penalties and how the judges scores in finals.

2 judges were added for finals that didn’t score during the day.. also from my observations watching the days shows were completely different than the night shows it seemed so maybe that played a part in it

i believe resonance and executive session had time penalties

Just confirmed that that is true. Bloomington RIG also had a time penalty

Did the time penalty factor into finals placement or was that just daytime?

Just daytime-no time penalty in finals

Would Sauk have made finals without the penalty?

Lincoln Southwest and Sauk Prairie both had 10 point penalties. Sauk Prairie wouldn’t have made it to finals without the penalty.
